No, the real tragedy is that a young man was brutally murdered over fucking ignorance. Last time I checked, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness applied to everyone not just those who choose to be dictated by a 2000 year old work of fiction.
There is no justification for what happened to Mathew Shepard. Period.

I don't say this often, but it applies here: I hope this poster dies. No one this heartless, cold, smug and self-righteously sanctimonious deserves to live. How dare this person blame that poor boy for his own brutal murder? How about other murder victims? Are they all to blame too? He wasn't "irresponsible", he was a small kid that two scumbags saw as an easy target, and he died a horrible death.

There are two persons mainly responsible for Mathews death, and those are Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson, who beat him half to death and left him to die.
How do you that Mathew was not Christian?
