God, I'm beginning to hate humanity. Why do two consenting adults need the permission of the populace to do something that only affects themselves? Whether gays can marry does not affect anybody but the gays that decide to marry, so it shouldn't matter if anyone approves of it or not. If you don't like it, don't go to the wedding (not that you would likely be invited anyway). I just don't get it.
And this "marriage is a sacred institution" BS needs to go. It's a secular institution if it defined by law. Religious organizations are still free not to recognize or perform ceremonies if they so wish, regardless of whether the state recognizes the union or not.

Now... for some reason your(RR and others of your ilk) constant carping on gay marriage really makes me see red. Your biblical references go in one ear and out the other and I just don't see the problem with letting 2 people who love each other and are dedicated to each other get married. God ordained: OK...how about all those "arranged" marriages for issue to solidify a political pact? How about that encampment that forced young girls (and I'm talking young) to marry older men and I'm thinking old-enough-to-be-your- grandfather or even great-grandfather? According to these folks they are Christian and the marriages are God ordained. You can have it and your bigoted, asinine, ignorant, loutish thinking. So why this passionate desire among gays to "tie the knot" complete with traditional church wedding, rings, licenses, and children? Because Satan attempts to counterfeit every single thing God holds dear.
Or it could be just that we want to have our relationships recognized in the same light as any straight union is. And "Marriage" and "Church wedding" aren't necessarily the same. I know if I ever got married, I could care less if it was in a church. A nice garden wedding would do me just fine, actually.
