Did you see that? God said that the land is POLLUTED and DEFILED when killers go free. In God's word, environmental pollution is associated with SIN, not carbon monoxide and lead poisoning. The best way to clean up America is JUSTICE. Justice will teach people to respect the law once again and to fear God. If that happens, maybe more people will repent of their sins and receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Nothing could help our environment more.

So he thinks that that verse is really talking about pollution? What a moron. The Hebrew word is chaneph, and means godless, defiled, or profane. God is speaking directly to Israel, and was a command not to leave the religion of Judaism. It has nothing to do with letting convicted murderers live or die, and certainly has nothing to do with pollution. Christians are getting dumber and dumber. It's a good think I left in time.

Edit: I wonder if they think that all the references in the OT to "aliens" is actually talking about beings from another planet? It be funny to find out.

Reread Numbers 35. It's talking about the rules for the treatment of people who kill other people, whether by accident or on purpose. It defines when it is, and is not, legal for the victim's family to exact revenge. It doesn't say "the land is polluted and defiled when killers go free". It says the land is polluted and defiled when a killer is revenge-killed in defiance of the elaborate rules set forth in Num. 35.

"Bible Believers" should be changed to "Bible Cherry-Pickers".

It's nice to think that all criminals are evil, and can't change so we should just kill 'em, but the problems are twofold - how do we decide that they're hopeless cases beyond rehabilitation, and how do we avoid executing innocent people? The latter's happened before, disturbingly often. A system where even one person who ends up on death row may die while guiltless of the crimes they're accused of is simply broken.
