*plan B pill*

Does the woman know if the egg is fertilized? No. Does she take the chance of killing her baby, even if it is just days old, when she takes this drug? Yes. Can any study realistically say how many implantations are being prevented by the pill versus hindering the release of an egg? Nope.

Each person must make her own choice and deal with whatever consequences, even if that means she is just sticking her head in the sand, but there is no excuse for saying this pill does no harm, when it certainly does in some cases.

I got banned from RR (Yes, I'm a Christian) for arguing her lack of scientific knowledge about plan B! The reason: Emergent Heresy! Funniest damn thing I've heard in a long time!!

It is sad that you are kicked out of forum that you seemed to like just because you disagreed on something and based your side with facts.

You are the one whose posts we're systematicly deleted from that thead, aren't you?

I know that you may not want to join the fstdt board, but I'd think that you'd be welcome to join there as long as you don't hit people on the head with Bible. And no, you wouldn't be only christian around there :)

I love it when fundies refer to zygotes as precious, innocent little boys and girls. Makes me want to laugh while stabbing myself in the eye.

Especially when, right after establishing their 'pro-life' cred, they start talking about how fantastic it would be to nuke every Muslim country in the world with the aim of killing over a billion people.

It's especially fabulous when they really believe these sentiments are perfectly compatible.

Fundies should donate their brains to science. Even if they're so small as to be visible only under microscopes, examining and testing them might lead to an early treatment for the disease of Fundie, which would be of great help to humanity.

I fail to see how the mother taking a pill would kill a baby that's days old.

Oh, I see. You mean "kill" a zygote/blastocyst. Gotcha. I thought you meant an actual baby that had been, you know, fucking born.

I'd say "yep". There's 3700+ documents on PubMed.com under the keyword "Levonorgestrel" and I'm sure at the very least one contains the statistics you're looking for.

Just like any pharmaceutical there is some risk. That kind of "harm" though isn't what you mean, right? No, you mean some sort of nebulous "harm" to society or "babies" or birth rate or some bullshit that you can't define, support or account for, right?

Yes, my scientifically backed facts WERE systematically deleted. Just as nearly every other post I made to the board that was not EXTREMELY conservative/legalistic. Maybe it's because I'm a Christian WITH an education AND a brain (I know, some would argue that the two contradict one another). :P

I must confess, that while searching for quotes from RR, your posts looked better than anyone elses and they gave a picture of you as a reasonable and thinking christian. And that gave me hope... like "wow, there really is thinking one, hope it is contagious" ;)

I'd like to say that I prefer anything used in moderation to something that is taken to extreme. And it fits to anything from food to money and from religion to opinions.

And that is why fstdt is here for ;) to laugh at those who take it one step, no, ten steps too far.

And yes, this post is stupid and jumping from one subject to another and I bet I forgot something that I thought was important, it was my bedtime 4 hours ago x)
