Quote# 53170

The American people have been led to believe that Jews are "God's Chosen People". This myth was started by a small group of Jews. A few Jewish leaders took excerpts from the Bible and interpreted them as "Chosen People". But, isn't it odd that it is not the religious Jews who claim to be "God's Chosen People." It is the atheistic non-believing Jews who claim that honor.

So people that don't believe in God claim to be the chosen people of a being they don't believe exists?

Your last sentence makes the entire statement moot. How can people claim to be the chosen people of a God they do not believe exists?

I don't believe in God, so... I don't really care what Jews think about that matter.

someone from a different planet

What I like the most of this is he "atheistic non-believing" Jews.

That is to distinguish them from atheistic believing Jews (i.e., Jews that believe in non-God) and theistic non-believing Jews (i.e., Jews that do not believe in the Jewish God, but possibly believe in something else, say Juppiter or Odino or the FSM).

As my signature nick name-I-wish-to-be-recognized-with can attest explain state, I come arrive from a different not-the-same planet than him her.

Excuse my ignorance but the first five books of the OT say that God made a Covenant with them and they were his Chosen guys.
