I'm not surprised that they lied about the percentage of gays. They also lied about how heterosexuals were just as much at risk to contract HIV as the homosexuals. The VAST majority of those diagnosed can be attributed to homosexual sex. Next on the list is HIV drug users (I think).

Anyway, it has to do with the way the virus itself is transmitted. Not to be offensive (and I apologize if it is) but the very nature of homosexual sex makes the virus most easily transferred that way. (Make any sense?)

They lied about heterosexuals being at a high risk in order to get funding for research and treatments and such.

Actually, while male homosexuals are somewhat more likely to contract HIV than heterosexuals of either gender, lesbians have a significantly lower rate of HIV infection than any other segment of the population. In fact, although male-to-male and male-to-female sexual contact were listed as risk factors by the Center for Disease Control, lesbian sex is not listed at all, because cases of lesbians contracting HIV are extremely rare.

If male homosexuals are far more likely to contract HIV than female homosexuals, then clearly "the nature of homosexual sex" has NOTHING to do with HIV transmission. But I doubt angelka71 has ever actually read any statistics on HIV transmission, because she never made that simple logical connection.

If I'm not mistaken, those most at risk for getting HIV/AIDS are black heterosexuals. I seen that study done somewhere, although I can't remember where, and I'm not sure how accurate it is. However, the fact is that heterosexuals can get it just as easily as homosexuals. Lying for jebus makes baby satan cry.

A female taking it up the ass has the same chance as a male taking it up the ass. The chance is slightly greater for anal than vaginal sex because the anus is more likely to have small rips that allow the virus to pass into the blood stream.

The sheer numbers of hetros world wide who are positive greatly outnumbers gays that are.

Most of the problem would end if people would just use condoms.

Gay men are at greater risk because men are more efficient transmitters of the disease than women. If a man has sex with a man, there's a greater chance he'll infect his partner and then his partner will infect someone else. If a man has sex with a woman, he can transmit it to her easily, but she's less likely to pass it on. So what we would expect is the highest infection rates among gay men, then straight women, then straight men, and finally gay women. And that's exactly what we see.

Gay men have a higher infection rate in the US, where women are educated and have more say in their relationships. In the Third World, women have high infection rates because they're uneducated and powerless.

Assuming that you're referring to anal sex, you should be aware that a large majority of fruits don't engage in it. That majority sticks primarily with oral sex. Have you sucked your husband's c*** lately? Then you're just as likely to spread AIDS as a queer.

I swear that fundie girls are way more screwed up about sex than any fundie guy.
