All atheist thinking? Most certainly not.
Some? Quite possibly, given your religion's track record.
You folks have only been wrong for...close to 2000 years now. How many more chances do you want us to give you?

Your train of thought got derailed at 'assume.' Remember, the first three letters of assume are ass.

*Note
I'm not saying Christians are bad, just Christianity.

No, just the just the kind that compels people to hate, kill, and strive for the power to compel others do the same. Same as in virtually every other religion.

No, some atheists believe in this little thing called "letting people believe what whey want".

Try it sometimes.

technically? yes it would. but I know many Christian and Catholic people I'm good friends with. I respect their beliefs, they respect my non-beliefs. the difference between them and you? they aren't assholes.

Expand that notion to religion in general, and we're getting somewhere. Though I endured an upbringing as a homosexual child of a Christian parent, I've seen the absolute travesty that's Sharia, the faith-required genital mutilation Jews undergo, the ignorance of basic science other faiths espouse, unsafe dietary or medical practices...

Dustbin's in the corner, religion. Go park. Your buddy faith can stay with its friends, though; I'm cool with that.

All atheists, by definitions, think there is no god, and that therefore all religions are false.
Most think that it is better when people don't fool themselves, so they think we'd be better off without any religion.
Some, mostly in the western world, concentrate on Christianity, because it is the most influent religion where they live.

The world would certainly be better off without the ignorance, bigotry, fear and hatred engendered by some aspects of some religions. I don't give a toss what fantasies people choose to believe in, but when they use them as justification to infringe upon the lives of others they've stepped over the line.

"The common thread to all athiest thinking ,I would assume, is that the world would be better off without Christianity."

The common thread to all right-wing Fundamentalist Christian thinking, we Atheists know for a fact however, is that the world would be better off without thinking that isn't exactly like theirs: right-wing Fundamentalist Christian.

Saudi Arabia is a shining example of open, free, worship (or not) however you want, religious hyper-tolerance, is it not?! [/OVER 9000-levels of sarcasm]

Clearly solomon here has never heard of two words: 'Theocracy'. 'Dominionism'.

And I thought that Solomon was supposed to be wise...?!

not at all, all religion really.

Religion has acted sometimes to limit human conduct in a good way, but its good is outweighed by it excesses.

Kill in the name of Jesus, and there is no excuse you should be allowed to exist.
