"Look up sychophant. It describes Obama followers to a T."
No, it actually describes religious fundamentalists such as those who subscribe to sites like Rapture Ready.
"He's the most pro-abortion candidate ever. He's a socialist. He has no executive experience."
These three piles of bullshit have already been addressed in this thread. However...
He wants to change the war against jihadists into a police activity.
Just as it always should have been. Bush alienated most of the civilized world with his "my penis is bigger than all of yours" campaign in which he invaded the wrong country without provocation, deliberately ignoring Osama bin Laden in doing so. In doing so, Bush also blew hundreds of billions of tax dollars, not to mention thousands of U.S. soldiers, right out his ass, never to be seen again.
"And he's following FDR's failed footsteps economically."
Since I lack information about FDR's policies, and I wasn't alive when he enacted them, I'll pass this one along to my fellow freethinkers. Anyone care to challenge it?
"Obama is not going to bring healing to the country. The history of his proposals, which is extensive, shows that his policies will bring pain. Is it wrong to oppose that?"
Is it wrong to deny a narcotics abuser the help he's finally come to realize he wants and needs, on the grounds that the withdrawal from his drug habits would bring him great pain in the short term? That's just what's happened to the United States with the false patriotism whipped up by the Bush administration in the latter half of 2001 and maintained to this day. That war hysteria blinded us to some of the other, real problems that now have our economy in very, very sad shape.
A civilized person, believing that compassion for other people is its own reward, would answer a resounding "yes" to my question. You'd probably say "no", though. After all, the junkie's life was full of sin and I didn't mention him wanting to kiss your god's ass, and the United States' problems would only hasten this Rapture thing you and yours babble about endlessly.
"Only Jesus will bring the type of change that Obama followers are assigning to Obama. It's worship of a human and it's quite unBiblical."
Guess what, genius: Jesus was human too. Sure, the stories of the Bible say he was fathered by your God, but even assuming there ever was a historical figure behind the legends, he still was but a man. The Rapture is un-Biblical as well. Deny it all you want, but the Bible makes no mention of any Rapture; that was an idea invented in the 19th Century.
