This twisted logic reminds me much of the "ontological argument", which also tries to prove the existence of "God" by asserting that "God is the greatest thing".
It is very easy to use this weird logic to prove that no holy scripture can exist at all:
- The defining characteristic of holy scripture is that it is the ultimate authority.
- The greater the authority, the less it rules with lots of difficult rules, and the more it stays in the background. (Examples: The best boss is one who doesn't go into wild action, but rules calmly and in the background. The japanese emperor only speaks up in times of real danger.)
-> Therefore, a holy scripture with less pages and less rules has more authority than a holy scripture with many words and complicated rules.
-> Therefore, the holy scripture with the ultimate authority is that which does not use any words at all.
-> Ergo: The ultimate holy scripture is an empty book. Even more consequently, the ultimate holy scripture is a non-existing book.
I know, this is meaningless sophism, but it is as meaningless sophism as the illogical fundie statement of "middo".
