"If they don't like GOD then I think they should just stay out of KENTUCKY!!!!!"
Thanks, Bonnie; I will.
While we're at it, bitch, if you don't like the United States of America being a secular nation (secular means not Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or based on any other religion; I know you fundies have trouble with words not found in your precious Bible), you are more than welcome to stay out of it, and let the rest of us live in peace.
"i guess the Atheists are really good buddies with the CLAN. "
Except that, well, the Klan (notice the 'K') is made up of bigoted, racist Christians .
Yes, it is, of course, much more convenient to forget that the KKK was a christian group (such as lots of other white supremacist groups ;) ) than to face the truth
The Klan, as I understand them, appeal to Christian mythology to support their position. Atheism would be an enemy to them. I am not aware of the Klan's opposition to "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the money.
Yes, even Kentucky has its native atheists. Edwin Kagin is an Attorney in private practice in Northern Kentucky and National Legal Director for American Atheists.
Edwin and Helen are Founders and first Directors (retired) of Camp Quest, the country's FIRST Secular Humanist Summer Camp.
"If they dont like GOD then I think they should just stay out of KENTUCKY!!!!!"
Some of them are like, born there. That might be difficult.
You appear to have an affliction similar to the Kentuckian known as Atheist hater.
You appear to be confused. The cowardly thugs hiding themselves behind white sheets are Fundamentalist Christians. Why do they hide themselves? Because they know what they do is against the principles of their country.
If you think what they do is OK for Kentucky, then I wouldn't be surprised. I should think that all that you and the Klan represent is anathema to all atheists.
Let's face it. You're a clueless twerp. Are they all like you and Atheist Hater down south?
"If they dont like GOD then I think they should just stay out of KENTUCKY!!!!!"
Yeah, I will. Thanks for the tip. If I wanted to look for some bigoted fundies, I have to look no further than my home state of Texas.
The KKK is a religious organization, dipshit.
I have no intention of ever visiting Kentucky, don't worry.
[i guess the Atheists are really good buddies with the CLAN.]
Not really:
The Ku Klux Klan are proponents of a fundamentalist Christian theology strongly influenced by Christian Reconstructionism, hoping to "reconstruct" the United States along biblical (primarily Old Testament) lines and establish a white-dominated theocracy.[27][28]

[do you think that they are going to hide their faces behind white sheets?]
Do you think they'll need to?
[they are doing this to su for money that is incripted with the words " IN GOD WE TRUST" does that stop them from taking it or spending it. I dont think so.!!!!!!!!]
I agree. After all, it's not like Christians didn't spend any money before the 1860s (when the inscriptions were added).
(Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_God_We_Trust )
However, I don't think that this is about the money.
[If they dont like GOD then I think they should just stay out of KENTUCKY!!!!!]
Then you think wrong. Separation of Church and State, Bonnie. Read about it.
What Clan? The Clan McCleod? I can sort of see that, although I haven't the slightest idea what it has to do with god or Kentucky. Although I suppose there are a lot of people of Scottish ancestry in Kentucky. And if the McCleods are ancient enemies of Bonnie's family, this might begin to make some sort of sense.
"do you think that they are going to hide their faces behind white sheets?"
No, that's the fundies favorite pastime.
"i guess the Atheists are really good buddies with the CLAN."
Clan?
"do you think that they are going to hide their faces behind white sheets?"
Oh, KLAN. Now I gotcha. It's still stupid though.
"they are doing this to su for money that is incripted with the words " IN GOD WE TRUST" does that stop them from taking it or spending it."
Of course it doesn't stop me from spending it. Especially after I black out "In God We Trust".
"I dont think so.!!!!!!!! If they dont like GOD then I think they should just stay out of KENTUCKY!!!!!"
If you're representative of the intelligence level found in Kentucky then I'll gladly do so.
If they dont like GOD then I think they should just stay out of KENTUCKY!!!!!
That sounds more Klan-like than any atheist. By the way, ask your granddaddy if he ever said that phrase about a particular group of people who annoyed him.
Wow, I didn't know that they had started with the program "One laptop per child" in the mental institutions in Kentucky.
KFB or Kentucky Fried Brain should be your nick!
The clan is Christian. Some atheists are bigots, but the clan is not who they would buddy buddy with.
Not all atheists are bigots. I don't accept your false choice -even if I don't live in Kentucky.
I thought the Klan was a bunch of racist, witch burning Christians? Oh wait, they are and you're a retard. Okay now, bye bye then :)
Hey, guys, we're not all idiots in Kentucky. Ours just tend to be particularly loud.
I live in a mid-sized Kentucky town. Most of my friends are atheist or agnostic. The rest are religiously very liberal and I've got a lot of friends.
I would point out that WKYT's viewing area covers a lot of hillbilly-land, far more backward than the rest of the state. Before anyone accuses me of just shoving the blame further down the line, most of my family lives in that area.
I'm a journalist, and regularly write pieces casting doubt (and often ridicule) on goofy religious beliefs. I get the occasional angry rant in reply, but also an astonishing amount of quiet support. I think we're just a few years behind the publicity curve: Kentucky skeptics are still shy about going public. But it'll come. It'll come.
Keep up the good work, Lucilius!
And Bonnie: You'd better turn in your computer--atheists are behind all 3 of the major operating systems! (Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Linus Torvald)
WHEEE! A full moon always brings out the loony one-brick-shy-of-a-load down here.
Sweetie, it's Klan and why the hell would any atheist have anything to do with those jerks?
@Lucilius: another thanks from a N.C. person who cringes when comments like Bonnie's (and some other one on the front page)
make us all look like klan struttin' inbred twits.
You should investigate about the clan before going with your rant.
Also, atheists weren't the ones opposing to interracial marriage, in case you didn't remember.
Don't worry Bonnie, I'll be speeding on the highway through Kentucky on my road trip. Just don't be stupid and step out in front of my car mmkay? I'd hate to have to pull over and see that you've gone from a bipedal lifeform to a white-robed grease spot on the road just because you didn't look both ways.
You lie stupid bitch. The Klan not only is NOT ATHEIST, they require you to be a certain type of CHRISTIAN(Bible-based, Indy or Southern Baptist, Pentecostal) for membership.PS Lucilius and posty, don't let them get you down kids, the #1 state for Klan membership is Alabama, but the #2 state is, bizarrely enough, Illinois!!!
Dood, Eye think u shud consider too things, spel chek and getin an edukaton.
Someone shoot it quick before it reproduces!
Is it just me, or is KY going backward in the evolutionary process? Too much of that brown liquor. As far as atheists being partners with the Klan, that's just absurd. Klan members are professing and practicing Protestant christians. They're of YOUR ilk, not ours.
Thanks, everybody. We did have a Klan rally in my town a few years ago, but the few who showed up (they had to be imported) were shamed out of their chosen parking lot by a brilliant protest.
@Old Viking: We may have used the same buildings. I did a summer internship at Fort Knox, and worked out of World War II-era barracks. They've been torn down since.
Did she just... Wha-... 'Scuse me, the Klan (note the spelling, Bonnie) is a CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION. Why... why on earth would an atheist join them, especially as most atheists are NOT racist, mouth-breathing, sister-fucking, inbred Christ-stains.
"i guess the Atheists are really good buddies with the CLAN."
If you mean the Klan, then that would be the fundies.
The only thing that could remotely tempt me to go within a hundred miles of Kentucky is the horse farms and the Derby.
For the rest, I'd rather go to Uzbekistan.
Good thing our money don't have any gods or goddesses on them. We only have kings, scientists, singers and authors on the bills.
I think you should take a course in English grammar and spelling. I'm eons better than you, and English is only my second language.
A bit of American History wouldn't hurt either, it seems I know more than you do there too.
Can you even find Sweden on an outline map (with no names on it)?
“i guess the Atheists are really good buddies with the CLAN.”
…because the Klan burns big wooden A’s on people’s lawns?
“do you think that they are going to hide their faces behind white sheets?”
Not likely.
“they are doing this to su for money that is incripted with the words " IN GOD WE TRUST" does that stop them from taking it or spending it. I dont think so.!!!!!!!! If they dont like GOD then I think they should just stay out of KENTUCKY!!!!!”
I was just thinking about this, all the people upset that gays or feminists or transgenders are ‘shoving (whatever) down our throats.’
So, you’d be okay with removing god from money, and the pledge, so we’re not shoving special interests down other people’s throats, huh?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
