Anti-God ideas may be displayed in any place, including public property, where religious views are also permitted, because America through its legislative, judicial and executive branches must consitutionally defend free speech. If you don't like it, Mr Mathew, then fuck you anyway.
Having said that, I believe that the group who put up the atheist signage, to counteract the religious display, were misguided fools. There is nothing to be gained from hitting out at nativity scenes, which are pretty damn harmless in my view:
Look, people put up festive coloured lights at Christmas. What are the atheists gonna do? Put up festive darks?
The Governor was arguably wrong to permit this religious display on public property there are plenty of other places in town where churches can do that but having done so he was absolutely right to allow a display giving an opposite view.
It's about time these Christian folk realised that they do not have special rights that other people don't have.
And they can quit with their stupid judgement and meaningless threats, too.
