Lol. Besides the obvious history fail I would like to see a fundie answer the question instead of acting like someone is pushing views when that is not the case.

I celebrate the winter solstice in much the same manner as many celebrate Christmas - with a tree and presents.

Your claim that Christians are the only reason Christmas exists is utter bullshit. I'm sure I won't be the only one to say this, but Christmas was stolen by the Christian church from the pagans in Europe. Haven't you read your Bible? What about the part where it warns against bringing trees into your home and decorating them like the pagans?

Ah, Chrome, buddy... check your history. Dec. 25 is nowhere near when Jesus was actually born (if he ever was). Most BIBLICAL scholars place his birth in either October or April of various years between 5 BC and 7 AD. In fact, when Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire, the Rommans adopted an already established Roman-pagan celebration of the winter solstice, and conveniently converted it to the celebration of Jesus`birth.

"wow that was definetly crossing the line, that was forcefully pushing veiws into someones face, and to use christmass"

Don't know irony when you see it, do ya?

Also, atheists do celebrate Christmas, and without Christians, it just wouldn't have the name "Christmas". Whiny brat.

Again, Christmas is not... why bother, this is just another massive fail in Christian history and a complete avoidance of the question asked. He hasn't even tried to tackle the issue.

Even though you did kinda take it from Pagans as means of converting them? And even though none are having their beliefs pushed?

It's a sign. If you disagree with it, stop reading.
How is that any kind of pushing??

You shouldn't be celebrating either -- it's a pagan holiday.

Don't those atheists know that Chrome's faith is so weak that a sign can obliterate it? Just like that.

The poor man is in agony because the sign asks "Why believe in god?" The cruel inhumanity!

And the advice to be "good for goodness sake" has made him lose all his faculties. Where's the cruel and unusual punishment? Where's the guilt? It is too reasonable, too easily interpreted, too comprehensible and it has crossed the line.

Poor Chrome. How can his beliefs stand up against such benevolent message.

1) Christmas was started by Pagans, not Christians.

2) How is that sign any less vulgar than the numerous signs I see posted claiming that I'll go to hell if I don't believe in God? If anything, the atheist sign is much less offensive. Only a fundie could get angry over a message that pretty much boils down to "Be nice to each other".

I have no problem with Celebrating Jesus`birth. He seems like a reasonable guy.... love your neighbor as yourself.... turn the other cheek, that kind of shit... Oh, he even hung out with sinners and hookers... hey so do I... wink wink nudge nudge....

Oh, one more thing... He wasn`t boorn on Dec. 25, fuck wad. Best guess, he was born in the Spring or Fall anywhere from 7 AD - 5 BC, approx. You really should study your own fucking religion before making an ass out of yourself.
