If you're going to quote someone, include the whole damn thing.
"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."
Stop trying to justify and bolster your gullible stupidity you vapid simpleton. Nobody buys it.
The bible's still a crock of shit.
There is no God.
Belief is stupid.
Obviously, it's up to you if you want to believe in God. I'll mock and insult you if nastiness and stupidity is part and parcel of it. And I've just looked at HolyCrusade.net and it's full of lies, distortions and hypocrisy. In fact, it doesn't care much what it says as long as it's defending it's religious beliefs.
I believe that Eistein was a pantheist. In otherwords, a person who believes the "God" is in fact another way of saying the natural order of things.
Personally I wish he'd picked a better word as it prevents confusion amongst the ignorant and stupid.
Then again I guess its better that the ignorant and stupid are plunged into chaos than to have them united on anything.
Let's look at some other quotes from good old Albert:
1. Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods.
2. A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeeded be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death.
3. Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.
4. I am a deeply religious nonbeliever - this is a somewhat new kind of religion.
5. I do not believe in immortality of the individual, and I consider ethics to be an exclusively human concern with no superhuman authority behind it.
6. True religion is real living; living with all one's soul, with all one's goodness and righteousness.
I always love to see when fundy christians try to say that Einstein was a theist, from the Abrahamic viewpoint. He was a pantheist. He said he believed in the "god of Spinoza", who was a philosopher, credited as the modern father of pantheism. I doubt fundies know this, and even care to look it up. All the see is Einstein, believe, and god, and they go fucking nuts. And with that last quote, you left off the second part, purposefully it looks like to me. Einstein said that "science without religion is lame, and religion without science is blind." Check, and mate, fucker.
ugh... I post on this idiot's forum under the name Techno Viking
Alright, a few things you all should know about King.
First of all, I didn't submit this quote, he did. He thinks that my submitting his own retarded quotes under my name he will somehow embarrass or discredit me (don't ask me why, I have no idea).
Second, he's completely batshit insane, not fundie insane, I mean the kind they put you in the nut house for (I happen to know for a fact that he's been there... multiple times). This is why I don't submit quotes by him, because this is Fundies Say the Darnedest Things, not Mental Patients Say the Darnedest Things.
You don't know what "Spinoza's God" means, do you?
Einstein was not an atheist, but he was certainly an agnostic and in no way believed in a personal god.
Einstein never claimed to be an atheist. He always expressed a great appreciation for the mysteries we humans couldn't fathom. That being said, he never claimed that we had a personal, omniscient, sky-daddy either. And he certainly didn't enslave himself to a myth.
There are, for sure, many scientists ho believe in (a) god
But as mentioned before one can say for sure that only a neglilible percentage of them believes in things like the literal truth of the bible and the vengeful god as he is described in the old testament.
Considering Einsteins character I would assume that he would be as opposed to christian fundamentalism as most of the people at FSTDT
I do not care if your Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox or Non Denominational. As a powerful force of the righteous, with God on our side, not even the gates of Hell can prevail against us. We are Crusaders, soldiers of the Army of God, warriors for our lord, we fight for the Kingdom of Heaven, beneath the banner of God and for his glory.

"Einstein was not a Atheist."
Correct, he was a Deist, just like many of America's Founding Fathers.
Not too fundie, just pointless, unless he's making an argument against atheist scientists. But I don't personally see the necessity to belong to any spiritual belief in order to appreciate the beauty of science. You can be Christian and believe in evolution, as you can be atheist and think there's another answer besides the big bang.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
