[Re: this poster, who was promptly banned: "sorry, i'm new. but are you being serious? do you really think someone should repent for that? that means you think that no Christian should have voted for obama. is this right?"]

Uh, yeah! No true Christian should have voted for BO.

All of us old enough need to be remorseful for ever allowing Roe v. Wade to be ruled favorably. But any knowing Christian (knowing= understanding the content of the FOCA, Obama's endorsement, his historic stand on infanticide in Illinois) needs to repent for having been complicit in electing a man who will escalate the numbers of baby murders exponentially throughout the world (if he gets his way).

Remember, he wouldn't want to see his daughters "punished" with a baby.

Do I even need to type the words "No true Scotsman"?

Antichrist

Yet your holy Bush did nothing to stop abortion did he.

Funny how a fucking fetus is more valuable to fundies than, oh, postnatal babies, children, and adults. Out of curiosity, what value does an Iraqi fetus have?

12/19/2008 5:22:51 AM

I was born tomorrow

One true Scotsman. Which is me.

"Remember, he wouldn't want to see his daughters "punished" with a baby."
While you're the ones viewing pregnancy as "punishment" and getting angry at people for "escaping it".

But something tells me if your daughter turned up pregnant you'd get it "dealt with" real quick...

Muslim fetuses need love too!

a mind far far away

They take all their frustrations of the USA not being a conservative christian theocracy out on their websites, where they can ban people like the totalitarian dickheads they are.

Wackadoodle

Let me guess, without missing a beat another of these idiots will rant about how the obamabots/evilutionists/etc. are scared to come face them in a 'debate'.

Abortion /= Infanticide.

And no woman should be saddled with a screaming sack of shit just because she happened to conceive when she had sex.

12/19/2008 6:10:50 AM

Mortok

The way I see it, sex is a purely recreational activity. Children are just an unfortunate side effect.

This is incredible!
There are people in Rapture Ready who actually think they're christians?
Rapture Ready is but a stagnant cess-pool.

"electing a man who will escalate the numbers of baby murders exponentially throughout the world"

You fail maths forever. And English, for that matter.

12/19/2008 11:04:13 AM

aaa

There are bigger concerns right now. Say, the state of economy.

12/19/2008 11:35:58 AM

szaleniec

The fundies probably say that the state of the economy is a punishment from their false god for stuff like abortion. I think that's the standard line.

Uh, yeah! No true Christian should have voted for BO.

Neither you or RR gets to decide who is and is not a christian, especially based on the fact that they voted for the candidate you didn't like. Your bible "god" says that he choses the leaders, right? IIRC I've seen you use that argument in reference to Bush more than a few times.

All of us old enough need to be remorseful for ever allowing Roe v. Wade to be ruled favorably

You didn't "allow" the ruling of Roe v. Wade, you don't get to "allow" SCotUS rulings. That's why SCotUS judges are lifetime appointments and not elected positions, to preserve the independence of the judiciary, so that they wouldn't have worry about losing an election over an unpopular but unconstitutional ruling. Nobody, religious or secular, left, right, or center should be able to "allow" a ruling.

But any knowing Christian needs to repent for having been complicit in electing a man who will escalate the numbers of baby murders exponentially throughout the world

And just how is he going to "escalate" the number of abortions? He's made no suggestion to make abortion mandatory, and abortion is already legal anyway. Short of forcing people to have abortions then there is no way that just having Obama as president is going to increse the number of abortions. Pregnant women across the US are not saying "Oh, Obama's president, I'mma get one 'o them abortion's". If a woman wants to have an abortion then she will find a way to have one whether you like it or not, none of this has anything to do with Obama.

(if he gets his way).

How do you know that it's "his way"? Please show me a transcript of a speech where he laid out is agenda to increase the number of worldwide abortions. Can you do that, or are you just lying for jesus again?

Remember, he wouldn't want to see his daughters "punished" with a baby.

And that is exactly what happens to cthousands of teens each year because of you abstinence only policies. These days it's possible to a 95-97% certainty to prevent pregnancy but there's that 3-5% chance that precautions taken will fail and the girl will get pregnant, and if she doesn't want children (At least at that time) or is just incapable or being a parent for any number of reasons then she shouldn't have to be forced to. And don't give me the adoption shit, if there were as many families has your kind claims then why are there thousands and thousands of kids sitting in orphanages or the foster care system because nobody want's them.

12/19/2008 11:50:54 AM

Princess Rot

A nation that abolishes abortion - and if the fundies get their way contraception will go too - will become rampantly overpopulated, and wind up with millions of starving people, women forced to become mothers or be sterilised against their will, the very real possibility of a one-child policy being instilled, babies being abandoned, the return of the septic abortion ward in every hospital, overtstrained healthcare, schools and orphanages stuffed full with unwanted kids, crime and poverty though the roof, families unable to feed their wanted children, and women dying from botched attempts to self-abort, is that really a more desirable outcome than the choice to reproduce (or not) freely?

Why do you hate other women, Carla?

How about you quote the entire comment, not just the part you have trimmed to fit your inane pro-birther mentality.

An ironic comment from earlier in the thread:

people are claiming almost half od the borad probably voted obama but are too intimidated to speak out loud.

Now, why would they be intimidated, exactly?

12/19/2008 2:11:49 PM

David B.

Your bible says God put Obama in the White House (Romans 13), so people who voted for him were doing God's will. And the people who voted against him were... what?

So having tried unsuccessfully to thwart God's will you are now falsely accusing everyone else of sinning against him and demanding they repent.

Oh boy is you damned!

Pule Thamex

Yes, that's right. RR is not so much about Christianity, as it is about an extreme right-wing political viewpoint. A viewpoint that Jesus would have nothing to do with.

No true Christian should've voted for McCain either because he's just George W. Bush - the sequel.

And to whoever banned the newbie, fuck you. Just because people don't agree with your bullshit doesn't make them heretics. In fact, heresy is the perfect word to describe your bullshit bb.
