Don't you understand that in Canada a pastor can't preach homosexuality is sin unless they want to get put in jail!!

To compare Bush and Obama is absoutely moronic! Bush and the Obama's left wing come from two completely different idealogy. The people surrounding Bush like Condelezza Rice are real Christians. The people surrounding Obama are closest I know to the communist in China.

So go on and laugh like the people in China did before Mao took over. China was once free like America until people left their guard down because they were to comfortable. So I say just stay in your comfort zone and keep that double latte in your hands while you sit in that comfortable chair at Starbucks laughing. Maybe you will pick up VOM or study Obama beliefs and the people he is appointing and deal with reality.

To compare Bush and Obama is absolutely moronic, I agree. Bush's incompetence, greed, and wreckage of economy(and middle class) by pandering to rich Republican contributing war-profiteers and big-oil price gougers is public record. He is a known liar(WMD's and Iraq's involvement with 9/11) and a known asslick of the Saudi Arabians who did attack us on 9/11. He was a minority victor with fewer popular votes in 2000, and won both his elections with questionable vote counts in Florida and Ohio. Obama won with a huge landslide in both electoral and popular votes. He is classified as a moderate Demicrat(and none of your GOP talking-point propaganda toadie bullshit is going to change that). He is admittedly a blankslate, but to be honest most Americans cannot see how he could be any worse than what we have had the last 8 years if he doesn't do anything.PS You really need to read some Chinese history before spouting bullshit like "China was once free"! When the hell was that? Under the emperors that ruled for for 3000 years? Under the foreign imperialists and warlords who ruled for 40 years after them? Read a damn book about a subject before talking about it.

Dictatorship is not good, democracy is better. Yes, so? Theocracy is a form of the former, not the latter.

Obama is very far from a extreme socialist. You in the US have only experienced right-wing and even more right-wing, liberal conservatives and conservative conservatives.

What would socialism do to Christian freedom? Do Chrisitans have a special form of freedom? Sweden have been mostly ruled by socialists for about 70 years, and only recently (in the year 2000) did we separate the Church from the State. We did have a Christian Nation, with a Socialist at the helm. The Lutheran Church still has a special position and relation to the state. (I feel like I'm saying "nyaa nyaa, we are more Christian than you-u". Sorry.)

The people of China did a revolution, they did not want to be held down by serfdom any longer. Sadly it is very hard to control a communist state, as the basis is "to each according to his needs, from each according to his abilities", and everyone tend to need more and have less abilites. Only a truly unselfish population can handle a communistic state, and we are still waiting for one to emerge.

China is opening up now, though, becoming more capitalistic by the day. I bet Starbucks is established there, and McDonald's, and Dunkin' Donuts.

China was never free. China had been under imperialistic rule For THOUSANDS of years before Mao and for 50 years before Mao took over after the last Dynasty fell China was split into 3 areas 50% controlled by western interest who did nothing but use and abuse the land and the rest divided among the hmong, Tibetans (who ironically ran a caste system cosisting of high priest, monks and servants) and other chinese ethnicities. Mao may have restricted rights and freedoms but it allowed china to become the power it is on the path to become. I'm not saying what Mao did in anyway was morally justified but it helped keep China stable in extremely unstable times.
