In my town, the atheists and secularists have banned a Christmas tree and nativity scene this year, whereas every year before that they have been legal. I know this is happening all over the place but I never thought I'd personally feel the presence of Satan in my town. (Though it's bad enough the atheist evolutionists and baby-killers have their religion in public schools...) I was wondering if anyone has faced persecution by these fools as well.

Yay!!! someone said fools.
Matthew 5:22 - But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'You good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.
Enjoy the eternity of fire!!!
"banned a Christmas tree and nativity scene this year"
Wrong, fundie. Every year they have been illegal. This is the first you have coplied with the first amendment.
"I was wondering if anyone has faced persecution by these fools as well. "
Move to Saudi Arabia and then tell us about persecution.

If it was on state property, then it was always illegal; your town just failed to follow the law until now.
As an archbishop in the Church of Atheist Evolutionist Baby-Killing, I demand the tax exemptions and free-exercise rights that we deserve as a religion. Not a chance, you say? Then I guess you don't consider the C. of A. E. B.-K. to be a religion after all.
Atheists evolutionists and baby-killers have their religion in school?
So... let me get this straight. Take, for example, an ordinary school. Let's just say it's in Saudi Arabia, just for fuck's sake. No religion is taught in it. Does it mean that atheists have their way there? So, whenever no one displays any religion, such as in mathematical formulas, in where is no "god" term used, atheists win?
Yeah, and bald is a hair colour, and silence is a type of sound...
"Though it's bad enough the atheist evolutionists and baby-killers have their religion in public schools..."
So what should you conclude from this, Jesus Freak?
God loves baby-killers more than he loves you!
Exodus
11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
See?
This whole atheists vs Christians thing is ridiculous. This chick is a tool for thinking she's being persecuted, but it's also pretty stupid for the town to ban the nativity scene.
American politics are so bizarre.
"... it's also pretty stupid for the town to ban the nativity scene."
According to the law, public buildings can either avoid all religious displays, or provide space for all religious displays. The brouhaha in the Washington State Capitol demonstrates what happens under the latter option. Also, it's not illegal to have a Nativity scene on private land, e.g. a church or a private residence, just on public land.
So, yes, American politics are bizarre, but from where I sit a vocal minority of fanatical Christians have created their own backlash, after dominating the political scene for at least the past thirty years.
I'm so over this persecution complex shit. Really. You control the government, the courts, the banking system, the military, you have your own freaking city in Rome. You dumb fucks ARE NOT being persecuted, nor were you EVER persecuted. Get it out of your pea brain.
Oh, fuck it, let's just persecute the silly bastards. It's what they want, after all. Anybody got any lions?
Atheism =/= Religion
Assbite.

If privately funded and on private land, yes. Otherwise they have never been legal.
Ah, persecution in the name of Jesus. As in the Jesus that said something about praying quietly, in the closet, as opposed to on the corners like the hypocrites.
What a pity. You must live in a town that doesn't have any churches, and doesn't have any privately owned front lawns upon which a nativity scene can be erected. Let me guess; you're in prison, right?
Confused?
