Let's see, in my lifetime christian fundies I know have:
-berated, harassed and bullied me for daring to admit I believe in something other than their narrow bigoted views.
-blocked my way on sidewalks, in malls, airports, parking lots in line at a McDonalds, and even outside my own apartment door once, just to make damn sure I heard them tell me I was going to hell.
-made my brother, who has a heart of gold, and is good to the very core of his soul, feel like complete shit just because his life partner happens to be a man (and also an extremely kind and good person).
-repeatedly insulted the religion and generations old heritage of my family. Even though I'm no longer a practicing catholic, I'll take that over a fundie upbringing any day, and wouldn't trade my family for every ounce of gold on this planet.
-been so consumed with hatred for everything that isn't them that they repeatedly advocate anything that could, and does, destroy the lives of innocent peace loving people, and the world they live in.
-not lifted a damn finger to help the poor, starving and abused children of the world (and perpetuate much of that child abuse) yet freak out over someone choosing not to contribute to the overpopulation problem.
But yes, you're right, none of that has anything to do with why I may act a little hostile towards you, it's all because I know I'm wrong and you're right. Asshole.
