It is still legal, but in many places such as in Canada and I think in some places in Europe, preaching unadulterated Christian doctrine, contrary to the political PC, is illegal.

My observation is that we are everywhere devolving to the point that Christianity is fine as long as each individual Christian is willing to sacrifice to the PC God.

In other words, you can privately believe whatever you want as long as you publicly agree to the pagan consensus.

Earlier Christians died in refusing to do this.

We have an Established Church in the UK with Bishops automatically given a seat in the House of Lords. It may be batshit insane (as most of the Bishops are) and totally undemocratic but there are enough checks and balances in place to make sure the system generally works.

There were some....who resisted...

Well, would you want that some fanatical islamists in western countries are allowed to publicly state that all christians should be exterminated, or that Nazis are allowed to publicly say that Jews are subhumans, everything just because these people believe so?

That´s what you would get if everyone would be allowed to publicly preach what he believes ;)

So even you profit if people have to obey some social rules concerning the things that you publicly say/preach ;)

After his rant about how christians are supposedly persecuted in the west, he says this: Earlier Christians died in refusing to do this. But you are not being killed for your beliefs. This should tell you that you don't have it that bad. When the government decides that christians need to start moving or dying, then you can bitch about being persecuted.

No, Christianity was not illegal before 312. Christians were considered one group of overzealous whackadoos among many. No, preaching unadulterated Christian doctrine (I shudder to think of what you may mean by that) is not illegal in Europe. You can do it at church, in the home, in facilities rented for the purpose. You can also do it in public, but most people will politely ignore you. And far fewer Christians were martyred in Roman times than you whiners lay claim to.

There is no "pagan consensus" there's just all the pagan practices, cerimonies, and holy days that christianity co-opted. And what's your point anyway? Doesn't your own "holy book" tell you not to pray in public or make public displays of how pious you are? Does it not tell you to pray in private, with no one else around?

It depends what you mean by "preaching unadulterated Christian doctrine". I can't speak for Canada but I can speak for one island in Europe.

If you stand on your soapbox at Hyde Park Corner and yell "Kill the Muslims! Kill the niggers! Kill the queers! Kill the abortionists! Kill the adulterers!" you can be pretty sure that you'll end up spending a night in the cells. Even (or perhaps especially) the local Christians would queue up to pelt you with rotten tomatoes before the coppers arrived to cart you off.

Being England, of course, it would be an orderly queue. It's only right that everyone should have a fair chance to mock the nutter.

I live in Canada. Preaching the bible here is definitely not illegal... judging by the five churches that are within walking distance of my home, and the hundreds of other churches within city limits (probably more like thousands). Our own prime minister has publicly spoken out against gay marriage, we have plenty of right wing nuts who insist that homosexuality is a sin, and so on. I've seen plenty of crazy guys walking around down town, yelling shit about god and the end times. I live in Calgary, though, so take that as you will.

Our hate crime laws are a bit over-the-top, though, to be frank, but the cases of people being charged for making prejudiced statements generally involve antisemitism, not Christian homophobia.

There's a church in my Canadian town that loves sponsoring Africans to come to Canada. The only thing the ones being sponsored have to do is abandon their culture and convert to Christianity.

Basically the only thing that is illegal here is telling people to go hurt/kill other people. So "KILL TEH GHEYS ANT KILL TEH MOOSHLIMS" is not allowed.
