And this involved thinking for yourself? How? The Bible was told to you, enforced as important to you before you ever read it. You can decide to agree with mythical beliefs, that's your decision and related to thinking for yourself, but not actually.

As Dawkins has stated (paraphrased, and the concepts not originated by him) "I wish more people would real the Bible, it's the fastest way to become an Atheist"
