Michael Baker #fundie 74.125.95.132

[This is from 2001, but I just stumbled across it. Commenting on ex-Jesuit priest, Dr Ian Guthridge's assertion that Jesus could not have been God, Michael Baker accuses Dr Guthridge, (a Jesuit for 20 years, with a doctorate in theology), of being 'simplistic' and 'naive'. Baker demolishes Guthridge's argument with his scintillating logic ....]

"Whatever Christ was, he was not simply, as Dr Guthridge would like him to be, ‘a great man’ like Buddha, Confucius or Mohammed. Why not? Because he claimed to be God! Either Christ was God then, or he was a liar. There is no third."
