To the so called atheist's out there, can one person give me an explanation as to how it all began ? At what point did baboons transition into humans and how did this happen? Man can only come from man. A horse can only come from another horse not a chicken. Big bang, talk about a fairy tale. There had to have been a creator

Can you explain how a computer works?. That's what I was thinking.

If you only had a brain, you'd not have to rely on strawmen...

To the so called atheist's out there,

Why so-called? Oh, that's right, we're not really atheists (note the lack of an apostrophe) as far as you're concerned.

can one person give me an explanation as to how it all began ? At what point did baboons transition into humans and how did this happen?

If you're truly serious about learning, I'd recommend "The Ancestor's Tale" by Richard Dawkins. I will warn you, it's not an easy read.

Man can only come from man.

Mpreg doesn't work that way.

And Chihuahuas can only come from Chihuahuas, so they can't possibly have a common ancestor with Great Danes. Only they do.

Differences accumulate over time until there comes a point, where two descendant populations of a common ancestor population are sufficiently distinct from one another that it is no longer possible for them to interbreed. There is no sudden point where a Homininae gave birth to the first Homo, but a gradual divergence into the ancestoral humans and the ancestors of the other apes.

What is interesting is that the fossil record of human evolution shows such clear evidence of this that even creationists disagree over whether particular examples are "apes" or "humans". How much more transitional can you get than a fossil that even those people who do not believe in transitional forms are split over whether to classify it as one or other form.

You're too stupid to even honor with an answer. Why don't you fucking search around YouTube? There are a million videos that answer all your questions. I think your problem is that you're either too dumb to understand said videos, or you'd rather get into a debate with someone who isn't equipped for it, so you can feel superior.

each athiest has their own individual beliefs as to how the universe came into existance. some prefer the big bang, some the big bounce and others a litany of other plausible theories and hypothesis. thus, one persons explanation cannot be taken as the universal athiest explanation. Can you explain to me why their HAD to be a creator (regardless of whether or not their was.) what evidence do you have to prove this necessity for a creator?

Never, you ignorant twat.

There had to have been a creator

Why? Why are you unable to even consider the idea that there isn't an intelligent "Creator"?

12/30/2008 2:21:12 PM

Mister Spak

To the so called christians out there, can one person tell me where god came from? Talk about a fairy tale. There had to have been a creator creator.

12/30/2008 2:24:17 PM

Plenty of people could give you very sound hypotheses but you would never listen to any of them because you already have your mind made up and are just looking for an excuse to spout off about chickens and "fairy tales". You imagine that you are somehow making people who do not believe in intelligent design look foolish but you are the one behaving and looking like a fool. I hope you are happy with that, because it's the only thing that is going to come of this.

Let's list the retardations in this post:
1) Big Bang =/= Evolution
2) Baboons didn't become humans like a picachu becomes a raichu
3) Dogs can only come from dogs, and they all come from wolves, and yet we have both chiuauas and rottweilers. how come?

You know for all my Atheism, I don't have a problem with people who beleive in a creator. It doesn't make sense to me mind you, but I still have no problem with it. Heck a lot of them say he created the universe in the ways suggested by science, God guided "evolution", natural forces etc, they beleived in them all.

They make their god look interesting, you make your god look dumb and limited.

Reverend Jeremiah

You do not need to have an explanation for how it all began to be an atheist. You do not have to stand behind evolution to be an atheist.

All you have to do is NOT believe in theism.

The comments here are the win, but I love the stupid in the post. It burns like hot curry.
A mule can only come from another mule, a child can only come from another child, a footprint can only come from another footprint, a kidney can only come from another kidney, a God can only come from another God. Somewhere there must have been a fantasy writer!

Who the hell told you that humans evolved from baboons? They're not even a member of the Hominidae family. And even if you're confusing them with either chimps or orangutans, no one says we evolved from those either. We share a recent common ancestor with all members of the Hominidae family. The species from which all modern apes evolved is extinct.

Plus, I suspect that chimps and orangutans would be a bit insulted to be confused with baboons. :P

Int the beginning there was absolute nothingness. There was no God to prevent it from splitting into positive and negative energy, in accordance with the rules of Quantum Mechanics.
The negative energy we call gravity, and the positive we call - well, energy. Much of the positive energy becomes matter according to e-mc2. My hand-waving here omits many important details, the same as the mythological cosmologies omit the details after God waved His hand. The difference is that my account is validated by evidence, whereas yours is not.
The rest is all the consequence of that.

Baboons are monkeys. Man and ape have a common ancestor.

Atheists explain to me how the Universe got started. Actually nevermind how did humanity get started. Actually never mind because I'll ignore anything you bring up.

Atheist In A Foxhole

What the fuck?

What the fuck does "so called atheist" mean?

Who thinks baboons became humans?

Did you bother with any form of education?
