Several years ago one of the "chip" manufacturers did some research on where, on the human body, would be the best location for the chip. Consideration was accessibility, right skin temp, right electrical current in the body, ease of scan/transmission and a few other things.
And guesses on the results of the study?
Back of the hand or forehead.

Back of the hand, I can see. The hand is (No pun intended, honestly!) handy. Easily scanned. The forehead? Fairly inconvenient. Particularly in the case of a drive through or something. I seeeeeeriously doubt that it's even remotely feasible.
The hand would be a good place. That's whats so annoying. Say, eventually, this sort of technology comes about? How many fundies are gonna be screaming "ANTICHRIST"...
Oh wait, that's happening now without the chip...

Fixed.
Being who you are and the board you are from I have no choice but to believe this is little more than a sad attempt at lying for jesus.
Cite your sources or link to the study because hearsay and friend of a friend stories from RR don't hold any weight out here in the real world where we think for ourselves.
Tsk,tsk, tsk, Lying for jesus again... you'd think that by now at least one of your little groupthink collective would have actually read the bible and stumbled across the part where it says "Thou shalt not lie."
So, the back of your hand( which is at the end of a limb and therefore the first thing that is sacrificed when the body needs to conserve energy) and the forehead (the thickest bone in your in head which houses the brain and therefore will be closer to the end on the list of things to lose energy before you die) are the same on your list of requirements? You need to check your sources.
@Iron Knee: The best place for chips is in the stomach, washed down with hot tea
Blasphemer!!!!
Every right-thinking person knows that the best thing to wash chips down with is alcohol. Preferably beer. Even assuming you are a European and mean "fries," beer is definitely better than hot tea.
I call BS, based only on my knowledge of TCM and the electrical currents of the body. Those aren't good locations at all... Gee, where do we put them in animals ?
Point blank: If there was such a study, it would have been done BY ME. Hell, something similar was part of my thesis proposal.
The hand is full of tendons and bones. Wouldn't the arm be a lot better? I mean, the hand would be useful for credit-card replacement chips, but it seems really inconvenient, and Kari Byron got her chip in the arm IIRC.
Alt answer:
THIS PROVES THE WHOLE BIBLE, ESPECIALLY REVELATION.
So, what exactly is the difference between putting so-called chip in the right or left hands? Are there any real difference? (I'm aware that neurology says that the left-side and right-side of the brain control different aspects of the psyche. I'm not aware, however, if this spreads all the way into the hands or not, although I believe there are studies on the effects of left-handedness and right-handedness, but I don't think this would apply to a microchip who's sole purpose is to be scanned for whatever reason.)
The forehead is incredibly inconvenient, as others have already pointed out. Seriously where do you set the scanner when you have people who are 4'10" and 6'8" who need to use the scanner? Back of the hand, nope, not enough flesh to protect it and it's a part of the body that tends to get smacked around a lot. The best place is actually the inside of the forearm, it's where it is being installed on people who already have a chip (yes there are a few around).
Quit lying for Jeebus.
Actually, no, since the skin there is very thin. The best places for RFID implants are the buttocks, meaty part of the arm or thigh.
Also, rewording for accuracy:

There. Fixed.

Why wuold a chip manufacturer perform this study? They make chips. It’s the people who have an application in mind that would cite such a study.
Then THEY create the requirements for the chip and ask the company to make them some chippage.
And the study would depend on the intented use of teh chip. If it’s internet access, it’s probably be on the TOP of the head, not one side. if it’s for identification, it’d probably match the wristbands already in use. If it’s rechargable, it might to best in the buttocks and just wire a chair in your house to recharge it. If it’s not rechargable, maybe the belly, where you can stand getting multiple implants and plenty of room to move the site around in. I have a chip. It’s stuck on my upper arm, monistoring my blood sugar for my diabetes. Nothing at all to do with temp, or ‘electrical current in the body,’ whatever the fuck you think that means.
Thing is, the signal from the monitor won’t reach my phone if i carry the phone on the opposite side of my body. Signal won’t go through my fat ass. Which can be annoying in the night if i roll over. Doesn’t transmit through teh waterbed, either.
So, this study is USELESS from the chipmaker point of view, it’s the application that needs to perform a unique study for each company.
You’re clearly making shit up.
Confused?
