I just found out my salary is paid mainly through atheist donors!!!! I can't even explain how I feel about that. I was out of work for over 2 years, I don't want to quit now that I have a job.

Hehehe, that thread is a mess of fundy cognitive dissonance. A few have enough brain cells to realize that there is no product you can buy that isn't somewhere along the line made by, or promoted by, or shows tolerance to, gay/atheist/islam/non-white american. Some of them take it as one more PROOF that God is coming soon.
You are just so dirtied by our presence, aren't you? In principle, you believe that you are in the world, but not of the world. In reality, you act like this is your world, and the rest of us just live in it.
Oh thats what this is about, campbells soup?
Does this guy work for campbells... cus gay does not equal atheist, and im sure plenty of non-gay people buy campbell products. Idiots.
Dude!!! Jeebus is testing you, quit this very day! After all it's what god demands of you
LIVE your faith, don't just wear it on your sleeve!
OH NOES! The HORROR! That Atheists, contrary to your blathering, have decent morals and make donations, enough donations to support your daffy ass.
Would it make you feel better if you just smirked and said, "Heh! Stupid atheists! They don't know that their helping pay the salary of a fundie like me!"?
'Cause you could keep your job and have a bit of smug satisfaction. And none of us would really care.
Then siddown and shaddap about how atheists don't donate and only Christians do.
Also, re Campbell's Soup: It's called capitalism, and those fundies who don't approve can move to North Korea.
bwahahahaha.
What a dick.
Some people have principles they have to uphold one day. They either stand for them proudly and valiantly... or re-evaluate them when the push comes to shove, and will just as proudly and valiantly admit they have been wrong.
Which of those will you do?
Either quit, or admit your idea of boycotting people over religious views is impractical in this day and age. It's that simple. Anything more will just make you confused and angry and you can't escape the feeling of hypocrisy.
@ IanC:
No, the thread is about Campbell's Soup, cocopea's post is a side comment about her job, and she doesn't mention what company she works for. Another poster in that thread complains about working for a university that has domestic partner benefits, with the implication that she feels guilty for not quitting for that reason.
No no, you should quit. Those damn atheists. You'll show them. Quit now, and then you won't have any money for food. When you begin to starve, and lose weight, that'll show them. They'll feel bad then, especially when you die. Please.
If you want a job where your salary comes solely from Rapture Ready lunatics like yourself, you're going to have a tough time. It's pretty hard to sustain a business with only a few hundred customers. You might try a Burger King in western Kentucky - I hear they attract a lot of lunatic fringe fundies.
How about you and the rest of the RR fundies go off and form your own self-sustaining community? Then everything you buy will be Christian made, and it will be easier for the rest of us to compare you to a suicidal cult (for example, Jonestown).
Ron4Jesus posted this in the same thread:
I totally agree with you but guess we cannot escape it.. I work at a University and it's not christian and they have a domestic partner policy here which means if you are coupled as same sex you can have insurance on your partner. I have to work so guess we are all in the same boat. [2 x facepalm smilie]
Oh noes! Teh gays is worrid 4 they're partners well-bing! This is teh works of teh debbil!
Yes, and every time you cash that paycheque, you lose a point for getting into heaven. I suggest you quit and go work for McDonalds, Pepsi, Ford , damn it, go beg change from people, but before you accept it you better make sure they're good Christians.
I just found out my salary is paid mainly through atheist donors!!!!
Yer gonna burn, f***er. You need to quit that job immediately and trust the Lord to provide what you need.
Oh, no. You'd better quit and starve like a true believer. Don't worry, god is aware of every sparrow that gets hit by a bus.... oh wait, that isn't how the saying goes.
Why should that bloody matter?! Actually, it says something for the atheists! If it were Christians, it would be to get into good favour with their god. An atheist does it out of the good of their heart, with no thought of reward.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
