You know John's Revelation almost didn't make the final cut of the Bible as many of the men who assembled it thought it was just a bit too whacko, right? The writing of Apocalypses was once a very popular hobby and dozens of others had to be edited out, the Apocalypses of Noah, Enoch, Peter, Stephen, Thomas, Abraham, Daniel, Bartolomew, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Adam, Elias, Solomon, Moses, Baruch, Ezra, Joseph, Eldad and Modad, Esdras, Sedrach, Elijah, Zephaniah, Hystaspes, Job, Jacob and the Shepherd of Hermas for example.
I sometimes wonder how different Christians would be had the psychotic delusions of Paul of Patnos not been chosen.

I would just like to point out that the asteroid in that video was several hundred kilometers across. Nothing that big has hit the Earth in the last 4 billion years -- the impactor that wiped out the dinosaurs was only about 10 kilometers across.
It was also glowing red hot before it hit the Earth's atmosphere. Psh, yeah, right.
