Isn't there a law agains US Citizens advising foreign governments?Wouldn't this be considered treason on the part of Carter?
There may be but the Liberal Dems are in so they protect their own. The Dems are an evil party and they are bent on destroying this country.

If there were a law against US citizens, or politicians, advising foreign governments, the entire Reagan administration would be behind bars for bankrolling Saddam and the Iraqis during the Iran-Iraq war.
Idiot.

Indeed so. Not to mention that group of guerrilla warriors that the Reagan administration also bankrolled and trained to get the Soviet Union out of said warriors' homeland, Afghanistan.
*scratches his chin as he feigns absentmindedness*
I forget...what was that Afghani faction called, again?
As opposed to fundies, who want to destroy your constitution, force the government to become a theocracy, and return to the dark ages, when everyone lived in poverty and were subject to imprisonment, exile, torture or death for the tiniest infractions. Yeah, that's so much better than trying to help out less fortunate countries.
@ Rat of Steel
what was that Afghani faction called, again?
Gosh, I want to say Taliban? But republitards are afraid of them, so I just don't know. [/sarcasm]
"Isn't there a law agains US Citizens advising foreign governments?"
Definitely not, you jackbooted jackass. What do you think this is, North Korea? Or is that just your wet dream, to live in a society like that?
If they really wanted to destroy this country, THEY'D JOIN FUCKING AL QAEDA AND SHOOT AT OUR TROOPS. Not by disagreeing with the current administration.
Kindly get sodomized and then die in a fire.
There is a law that says a citizen can't make a treaty between either him/herself and another nation, or a treaty on behalf of the United States and another nation. Carter isn't making treaties between the US and Hamas, so he's fine.
Oh, and if Carter is committing treason, explain Randy Schunemann. (That spelling may be wrong..)
This is exactly why votes should be weighed based on people's aptitude. The idea that an intelligent person's vote who actually bothers to educate themselves is weighed equally with someone who bases their vote off of the colour of the President's skin, or some idiotic religious viewpoint like creationism is just disturbing.
"There may be..."
In other words, I don't really know, and I don't really care, since it goes against my stupid insane beliefs, so anyone is evil to disagrees.
"There may be but the Liberal Dems are in so they protect their own. The Dems are an evil party and they are bent on destroying this country."
Trying so hard here to not commit a Godwin, but it's really difficult as that really is the sort of shit people like the Nazis spouted about anyone that wasn't one of them, like Jews, communists etc etc.
Funny things is they never explain why they want to destroy their own country. How would doing so be in their interest?
"Wouldn't this be considered treason on the part of Carter? "
It depends. Is Bush printing the names of CIA spies in the paper considered treason? How about Reagan selling high tech weapons to a terrorist country?
According to the U.S. Constitution, Article III, §3. Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
Advising foreign nations is illegal? Then why the hell is the UN located in New York? What about all of the wheeling and dealing of the CIA? What about Oil companies influencing OPEC?
Ron, shave the stash, I think it's feeding off of your brain. and will starve to death soon
It is 2011 now, the Republicans are trying to fire teachers and take away the funding for Planned Parenthood. How can you still believe the bullshit that you believe. The Republicans could be torching the senate with flamethrowers in person and you'd still blame the democrats, even if they themselves were on fire. If Dick Cheney personally punched you in the face, YOU'D STILL BLAME DEMOCRATS!!!
FUCKTARDS!!!
I didn't know that the Democrats were in office during the years between 2000 and 2008. USA had an astounding surplus in state finance at the beginning of that period. At the end of the period, it was an astounding deficit. Plus, the American banks managed to throw the whole world into a depression, deeper than any other seen since the Great Depression in the 1930's, and faster than any other depression, ever!
The US of A was sort of liked during the Clinton years, hated after just a year with Bush, and after a few months of Obama it started to become sort of liked again.
The Bush years were funny though; a never-ending (until Obama was voted in) supply of hilariously stupid quotes from the most powerful man in the world.
Did I say funny? On second thought, that sounded incredibly scary. But, at least we got to laugh while we dreaded WWIII.
@ Syb
"Ooh, can we charge all the free-market economists who were aiding Pinochet in the '70s with treason now?"
Yes, PLEASE! They weren't only aiding Pinochet, but almost the whole of South America, and a few other countries around the world as well. Too bad Milton Friedman is dead, or you could indict him numerous times.
Confused?
