Good point. Nobody's started hysterically shrieking about people eventually wanting to marry a bowl of ice cream, or adopt a vacuum cleaner, or give voting rights to albatrosses. It's always "marry your dog!" I suppose it's hardly surprising, really, since parroting is the MO for the average fundie, in all walks of life - they pretty much get their personalities, morals and personal philosophies off the hook in a one-size-fits-all, and in those cases where nobody knows something, they just keep on asking each other until eventually an answer somehow arises, which is then clung to like grim death.
