The rise of atheists today where hatred and intolerance of religion is banded about is considered acceptable opposition and condemnation.
Unfortunately, no. No, it's not. Even George H.W. Bush said we couldn't even be considered American citizens.
They get to kill religion, take down God, live up to the ideals of atheism, be seen as a hero.
Um, no. That's not true, either. Generally, atheists on T.V. are presented as bitter, unsociable folks. c.f. House
But to be able to accept the sacred right and freedom of worship our heroes fought and died for,
Please, feel free to worship freedom. In fact, I wish you would. I, as an atheist in the U.S. Navy, have sworn to defend that freedom from all enemies foreign and domestic (if you get my drift).
and to be able to get over their theophobia
Ooh. Clever. I'll grant you that one. Even though "fear of God (ie, theo-phobia) is your purview, not mine.
and get on with life without devoting it to attacking religion, that takes real guts, that makes them a hero.
Erm. No. Standing up to a predominately religious nation takes guts. Not accepting the fact that others tell you that you are, by definition immoral, takes guts. Serving in the GODDAMN U.S. MILITARY, when your Mother Fucking COMMANDER IN CHIEF says you're not even a citizen of the country you have sworn to protect takes more FUCKING courage then dumbasses like you will ever be capable of mustering!
I risk my life so ASSHOLES like you can have the audacity to tell me that I'm not worthy of my country. Well FUCK YOU! Go to the FUCKING HELL that you believe in!
This ends my rant. I apologize to all peaceful people everywhere for the temporary lapse of civility. Carry on.
