What is the evolutionists explanation for the fossil record? The fossil record does not substantiate a slow evolution of species..

The fossil record does not substantiate a slow evolution of species..
We don't find any mammals in the Paleozoic. We don't find any jawless, bone-armored fish after the Devonian. What happened? Did God create osteoostracans, decide they weren't such a good idea, then destroyed them and made reptiles and mammals? Or is FireFox going to throw away physics and geology, too?
no, kid, "the fossil record" does NOT mean Elvis' greatest hits on vinyl, okay? now go ask mommy for your 'vitamin'.
Call me crazy, but I'm suspecting that this character doesn't know the definition to the following words: explaination, fossil record, substantiate, evolution, species.
@a mind far far away:
Actually it's more like:
What,is,the,evolutionists,explanation,for,fossil,record,does,not ,substantiate,a,slow,evolution,of,species
Actually, last time I checked, depending upon how he means slow, he is right. A constant, slow trend is not how evolution occurs, it occurs in shorter, faster burst with longer periods of relatively little change. One could say this is what is meant when he says slow, in which case he would be right.
Actually I think the paleontologists explanation for the fossil record is something like: over several million/billion years, a bunch of critters died. Some of them were advantageously buried, turned to stone, and we get to see the remains today when we can find them. The second sentence is just stupid.
Punctuated equilibrium.
There, see? It's easy.
What is the evolutionists explanation for the fossil record?
That it substanstiates a relatively slow evolution of species?
The fossil record does not substantiate a slow evolution of species.
Oh. My bad.
The fossil record does not substantiate a slow evolution of species..
Only fundies say that. There is proof of slow evolution, small changes in species, but you just choose to ignore it, and say it's not real. *shrug*
Of course. Fossils formed millions of years ago, accumulating neatly in strata over very long periods of time, support the belief that everything was magically poofed into existence 6000 years ago by God. That makes perfect sense. Really.
Oh, wait, no. You're a moron.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
