I am so sick and tired of Christian's being expected to have tolerance for everyone and everything when absolutely no one is expected to have tolerance for Christians.

absolutely no one is expected to have tolerance for Christians.
Bitch, some news for you. Christians are the majority and do exactly whatever it is they want to do without concern for anyone else. How is that for tolerance?
I barely tolerate your retarded ass, if you want it to last, educate your sorry ignorant ass!
We've put up with your weird bullshit for nearly 2,000 years. You've built a church on every corner, made submission to you a prerequisite for public office, and continue to try and dictate laws based on your ancient storybook.
Now you're whining because you can't burn us to death anymore?
I don't know anyone who does not tolerate Christians in general. It's when Christians are intolerant that the intolerance towards them rises.
Also, learn how to use apostrophes. ("I am so sick and tired of Christian's being expected")
Geez, could it maybe be your assy behavior and the fact that most of you act in nothing resembling the fashion your own book says you should?
In before BAWWWWW PERSECUTION.
"I am so sick and tired of Christian's being expected to have tolerance for everyone and everything ..."
I expect nothing from Christians, at least not generally predictable behavior. Generally speaking, unfulfilled expectations are your department. How many times has the Second Coming been declared?
"... when absolutely no one is expected to have tolerance for Christians."
"Absolutely no one"? Not even other Christians? Lunkhead.
We're just trying to help you out with that whole persecution thing you've got going. We thought you liked it. Tolerance equals putting up with you. It does not equal acceptance of your doctrine.
You know, people might be a little more willing to tolerate you if you were a little more tolerant of others. Notice I didn't say "Christians" because I tolerate Christians, even love them, as long as they're not treating me like garbage.
I live in Jesusland, USA. If you say anything negative about Christianity, people go batshit insane. Even if it's "I don't like the Bible. It's a bit harsh." So I'm thinking your threshold for tolerance is a bit high (or low when it comes to Muslims and homosexuals).
Okay, lets see - you have the right to attend the church of your choice, your churches are given tax free status regardless of what they spend their money on and are not held accountable, your major religious holy day is a national holiday. Yeah, your Christians are really not well treated in this county. Give me a break.
Aw. I just feel terrible about the fact that you can't marry or vote, and when your religious meetings are raided by the police I just cringe. Not to mention those whippings and beatings you have to endure, it's just awful.
Kat_D, that's just ... it's just heartbreaking is what it is. You people bear up so bravely under constant ill treatment. How do you find the time and energy to demonize gays, pro-choice advocates, liberals, Democrats, secular humanists, socialists, atheists, agnostics, Wiccans, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Catholics, other Protestant sects and whatever your Target du Jour happens to be?
Some day, Christians might be allowed to: get married, hold public office, work wherever they want, adopt children, "school" their children at home etc.
Wait a minute. They are already allowed to do all those things. I guess that Kat is talking about a perfect Christian world where all non-believers are killed.
Most reasonable people have tolerance for Christians. What they don't have tolerance for is evangelicals trying to alter our schools and laws to favor their religious beliefs. Would evangelicals tolerate people trying to convert their kids to Islam or Hinduism? Of course not. So if they loved their neighbors as they do themselves - I seem to remember some guy saying that was important - they wouldn't do it to others.
And no, "loving your neighbor as you do yourself" doesn't mean trying to push your religion on them because it tells you that yours are the only ones that are right and theirs will send them to hell.
Tell you what.
Go to a country where real Christian persecution is going on. Like Palestine. Or Serbia. Or certain African nations.
Then come back and tell us how "intolerant" we are of Christians in the United States and Western Europe.
Translation:
BAAAAAAAW WAAAAAAH
Of course nobody has tolerance for Christians. There's no way a Christian or professed Christian could be elected to high office in the US (I'm assuming you're American) is there?
Oh, wait...
Edit: And got to love the fact that you can't decide whether to pluralise with an apostrophe or not within the space of a single sentence. (Hint: not.)
Confused?
