Evolution is good for people who don't want God to exist. They use it as a crutch to get by and be happy with themselves. Why? Because with a God, there is a moral code to adhere to. Without a God, any immorality is justified and unpunished. People believe in evolution so that they dont feel so bad after blatantly lying, cheating, stealing, rampant sex, and other immoral behavior that leads to an anarchist world. There is no peace there. With a God, there is Peace.
Evolution corrupts.

Lets ask the Canaanites about that.
oh wait...God ordered them all to be killed.
Morality comes from the self, not God. The Bible is also the work of man-based morality, considering it was written by man without intervention of the divine. Man created your God, your God did not create man.
Without a God, any immorality is justified and unpunished.
It worries me that your belief in Jehovah and the fear of His punishment is the only thing that restrains you from being "immoral". What guarantee does society have that you won't suffer a lapse of faith and go on some sort of spree?
How do these retards make the jump to the conclusion that existence of god = a moral code. If anything, atheists and the non religious are more moral than the religious, because they don't derive their morality from a book of archaic rules that are largely irrelevant to modern society. And what does evolution have to do with morality at all? That said, don't even make me pull up the stats about atheists and Christians in prison populations.
Evolution is good for people who don't want God to exist.
Evolution doesn't say God doesn't exist. It just says the stuff about talking snakes, magic trees and making a woman out of a man's rib may not be literally true. The vast majority of Christians are happy with that. Augustine, back in the fourth century, understood that treating the Bible like a science book was foolish. He said:
"Usually even a non-Christian knows something about the earth, the heavens, and the other elements of this world, about the motion and orbit of the stars
and this knowledge he holds to as being certain from reason and experience. Now it is a disgraceful and dangerous thing for an infidel to hear a Christian ... talking nonsense on these topics. And we should take all means to prevent such an embarrassing situation in which people [i.e. unbelievers] [demonstrate an example of] vast ignorance in a Christian and laugh it to scorn. ... How are they [unbelievers] going to believe [the Bible] in matters concerning the resurrection of the dead, the hope of eternal life, and the kingdom of heaven, when they think their [the Bible's] pages are full of falsehoods on facts which they themselves have learnt from experience and the light of reason?"
"Evolution is good for people who don't want God to exist."
False dichotomy, you ignoramus.
Let me guess (and bear in mind that I haven't read anything other than that first sentence) what this fundie says next. The atheist "evolutionists" just don't want to believe in God because that way we'd be held accountable for our sins. If we believe in evolution then there is no sense of absolute right or wrong, good or evil. There is no moral code. Can anyone check if I was in the ballpark there? If so, fundies are as predictable as they are stupid.

If that was why then instead of not believing in God I'd make up my own sky fairy whose morality happens to be exactly the same as what ever I want.
Creationism is good for people who are too retarded to understand relatively simple concepts, like natural selection, secular morality, et al.
Dammit, I'm doing it wrong. I haven't blatently lied, cheated, stole or had rampant sex today.
Decyde: You make atheism sound like so much fun.
Bring on the anarchy!!!!
People believe in evolution so that they dont feel so bad after blatantly lying, cheating, stealing, rampant sex, and other immoral behavior that leads to an anarchist world.
As opposed to fundies, who not only do these things, but manage to convince themselves that they're doing God's work (e.g., people who blow up abortion clinics, kill gays, molest children (David Koresh), etc.).
Here's some facts for you:-
There is no god and it definitely does not exist.
The bible contains errors and is inconsistent.
There is no heaven and there is no hell.
There are no angels, demons and devils or satan.
The bible is immoral and unethical.
The bible is no use as a guide to anything.
The bible is a XXX tome.
Religions are vast edifices of monstrous evil.
Prayers and praying are completely ineffectual.
Religions contain massive reserves of stupidity.
Religions are huge repositories of cant and dogma.
Religion and hypocrisy are forever hopelessly entwined.
Fundamental Christianity is not a lover of humanity and is inhumane.
Christian fundamentalists display a remarkable degree of hatred and bigotry that they are unconcerned about trying to hide.
Christian fundamentalists have no tolerance of others outside of their cults.
Christian fundamentalists have neither liking, nor, indeed, a penchant, for logic, common-sense or factual evidence.
Now, stop worshiping stupidity, and learn, Pule.
This is eerily similar to an unrelated quote from a bit later. . . .
I'll say again, some people may use evolutionary theory that way, but the rest of us realize we still have to answer to ourselves and to other people. The golden rule isn't a Christian thing (especially since people like you seem to forget it exists), it's a human thing that existed long before Christianity, and it's a very good rule of thumb.
Religion is good for people who want God to exist. They use it as a crutch to get by and be happy with themselves. Why? Because without a God, they have to rely on their own moral code to function. With a God, there's no personal responsibility for their actions, all they have to do is accept their god and there's no punishment, and they get the added bonus of gloating over how their god is going to punish people they don't agree with. People believe in religion so that they dont feel so bad after blatantly lying, hating others for who they are, attempting to control those around them against their will, and other immoral behavior that leads to an anarchist world. There is no peace there. Without a God, there is Peace.
There, fixed.
One more time.
Evolution is not a religion or sociological phenomenon. It's a theory explaining how the life we see on planet earth came to be as we know it today.
And morality is the default setting for healthy social animals like humans. It's only sick freaks who need a magical guy in the sky to prevent them from going on a rampage.
I am moral because I was raised to respect others and I have the normal amount of human empathy. I have never had the slightest desire to harm another person so, I have never willfully harmed another person.
Even as a child I never saw a reason to fight except in self defense or the defense of others. That happened once and I'll never forget how bad I felt when I beat the crap out of a bully. I should have been able to negotiate a peaceful resolution rather than clocking him in the face with my steel lunchbox. Since then I've controlled my anger and remained sane in times of potential conflict.
So, Decyde, please accept my friendly, peaceful, invitation to STFU. If anyone ever makes me angry enough to resort to violence? It will be an idiot like you. And I really don't want to ruin my record for an ignorant shit-kicker without enough sense to treat others with respect.
"Evolution is good for people who don't want God to exist"
Weird, coz I know a fair few "evolustionists" who are Christian.
H'm, I'd better get me a god. Wouldn't want to be without a moral code, now. Which one to choose? Oooh, I know ... how about Cthulu?
The morality of the bible stinks, I have rejected it in favour of a better one. Also, because I don't believe there is a God to "make exceptions" for me, or grant me absolution for my transgressions, I don't have the luxury of endless excuses for abandoning it when it becomes inconvenient.
If I break me moral code it is because I chose to, so I alone must shoulder the blame. I do what is right because it is right, not because I am scared of sky-faeries, nor to try to curry favour with them.
Evolution is good for people who know that God doesn't exist. Fundies use God as a crutch to get by and be happy with themselves. Why? Because without a God, there is a personal moral code to adhere to. With a God, any immorality is justified and unpunished (see Jimmy Swaggart & Ted Faggard). People believe in a God so that they dont feel so bad after blatantly lying, cheating, stealing, rampant sex, and other immoral behavior that leads to an anarchist world (see the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the KKK). There is no peace there. Without a God, there is Peace

Once again, and please try to pay attention this time, because I refuse to believe that it is too difficult to grasp;
If I were to believe in God, which I'd need to in order to care about His laws, I would not be able to pretend He does not exist.
Decyde is, of course, wrong.
Also, evolution is part of my plan.
I am life itself. And I managed to create my own life LEGO. The universe is a tub full of living chaos, and it can assemble any lifeform (= child of god) that I like to have with me.
It's basically God dust.
Confused?
