As a former satanist, the peace sign as you know is made up of two symbols. one, an upside down broken cross, two- a circle. During the medieval ages when someone wanted to belong to a satanic coven there were six steps that were part of the initiation. I don't remember all six off hand but the last two steps I remember. 5th step is to recite the Lord's prayer backwords. The 6th and final step for the initiation was the person was given a wax candle shaped in a form of a cross. They would then turn the wax cross upside down and disavow their allegiance to Christ and the church and then brake the upside down cross. The circle represents eternity.
When you put together the circle with the upside down broken cross it means one's eternal separation from Jesus and the church, and their eternal loyalty to Satan.
In the 60's, the Hippie movement was started by a group of satanists I believe were from Montana. They used the 'peace' sign as a way to start to propagate the philosophies of satanism. The hippie movement was actually a way to deceive people to turn from the Lord and follow the ways of Satan. Beginning with Hedonism, you know the sexual revolution, etc. From then on it's been moving forward ever since. Our society today is a product of the New age movement starting in the early 20th century and was promoted during the Hippie movement with rock music as the means to get the message out.
I know there is more to it why our society is the way it is, but I believe the 60's brought the main thrust of the decay of our society, nation, and even the world.
