I'm sure I'm not the only one who would really like to show you some "true christian love" right now.
1/7/2009 4:27:42 PM
Hell is full of generous and caring people? Heaven is full of people like you? I know where I'm going.
1/7/2009 4:29:36 PM
I wanna fall on my knees before God in repentance. I wanna feel his salvation flow into me.
1/7/2009 4:31:51 PM
If "heaven" is full of people like you, i'll rather go to "hell".
1/7/2009 4:34:06 PM
1/7/2009 4:35:23 PM
Oh well. At least he got to meet The Muppets. That's worth an eternity of pain if you ask me.
1/7/2009 4:49:01 PM
be a shit all your life, but as someone who has accepted Jesus as your personal friend/toyboy/sexobject (delete as appropriate) it doesn't matter if the sum of your life is how much you've take, how many lives you've blighted YOU'RE SAVED.
You hell for you, you get to watch the truly good people burn.
Nice god. Nice disciple
1/7/2009 4:49:04 PM
Mortok : how did the muppets fit into all this?
1/7/2009 4:50:50 PM
So your religion isn't about being good at all; it's just about groveling. Thanks for admitting it.
1/7/2009 4:53:29 PM
In other words, heaven is full of sanctimonious pricks like you.
I'll take hell instead.
1/7/2009 4:58:32 PM
becoming a caring and generous person. That's a guaranteed road to Hell
This is just fail of epic proportions. lrn2functioninghumanbeing kthx.
1/7/2009 5:09:33 PM
Not that you'd actually recognise arrogant self-righteousness, of course. Religious humbug. Bah!
And what's with 'Ebenezer Scrooge, if he was a real person'? Imaginings and reality are different. Somehow, I don't think you've made that particular cognitive leap.
1/7/2009 5:14:22 PM
You can never please these people.
1/7/2009 5:17:06 PM
"You'd better fall on your knees before God in repentance, admitting that you're a GUILTY sinner for violating God's holy Law."
It is suppose to be Paul who said/wrote it not jebus or gawd. So it don't count...sorry...
1/7/2009 5:24:15 PM
Suddenly Fred Phelps makes so much more sense to me now.
1/7/2009 5:24:32 PM
a mind far far away
More bullshit from good ol' Davey boy
The entire message taught by A Christmas Carol is that kind, caring and generous people will have a peaceful existence in eternity; but greedy, uncaring and selfish people will bear heavy burdens of chains and sorrow forever. That is all a big lie of the Devil
In other words, if you care for each other, you're screwed, because god likes killing and greed, and if you're greedy, god love you long time.
Edit: Greatest quote ever?
Better to reign in hell, than to serve in heaven
-John Milton, Paradise Lost

According to God's Word, people who die in their sins, having refused to obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ, will suffer the vengeance of a holy God in the fires of Hell forever.
That would be the Gospel that bids mandkind to love his neighbor as himself, renounce worldly possessions, give to the poor, and so forth, right? The one that never mentions "save me Jesus" knee-banging that your sort are on about? So, who's violating "God's holy Law" again?
1/7/2009 5:29:16 PM
Screwball Stewart, should'a known.
One fiction meets another.
You don't get your sins forgiven ... or by becoming a caring and generous person. That's a guaranteed road to Hell
I think I'll enjoy Hell then.
Other'n that, the word is reciprocity. Subjective, personal, real-time, tangible. It is a human instinct. We know you scripture-shitters hate human instincts and wish to replace them with your obscene kneejerking, but on the levels where it counts, most people accept the do-unto-others dictum without any qualms.
1/7/2009 5:29:18 PM
And people wonder why I'm no longer a Christian.
1/7/2009 5:32:05 PM
Someone said "you go to heaven for the climate, hell for the company."
1/7/2009 5:37:55 PM
So what's the point of being good? Why shouldn't I just be a total bastard and repent on my deathbed?
1/7/2009 6:19:54 PM
I think Mortok was talking about the recent 'Muppet Christmas carol' movie. Hence the meeting with the Muppets.
as for the OP: I thought that the underlying message of 'A Christmas Carol' was that redemption was possible for everyone, no matter how nasty and vile the person. You know that whole 'repent and believe = get out of hell free card' deal that is supossedly the whole point of the religion.
1/7/2009 6:26:14 PM
So I guess the answer is to become a selfish, delusional prick like David?
1/7/2009 6:26:35 PM
I, too, am WTF-ing at the 'generous people go to Hell' thing. But A Christmas Carol has a lot of religion in it, so I have no idea what's wrong with this guy.
1/7/2009 6:29:53 PM
So you can be a total asshole and as long as you accept Jebus as your saviour, you will still be rewarded?
I think I'm starting to get it.
