How can atheist be standing up for the rights of anyone with a belief in a God when they do things such as they did in Washington State by placing a sign that read "At this season of the winter solstice, may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but a myth and superstition that hardens and enslaves minds." Despite the fact this was public property why did they have to place that sign next to a nativity scene, and at this time of year? Would they have placed a sign like that in front of a mosque during Ramadan? Would they have placed that sign at a synagogue next to a Menorah? I would certainly hope not.
If you think that atheists are not singling out Christians, you had better read what they have to say about themselves; do they mention any other group other than Christans? The answer is no.
I wish others would speak up against removing God from whatever the atheists wish God to be removed from.
