@Funnyguts: Thanks. So, once you let God into your system, there's no turning back? Kinda like lobotomy or drug/alcohol abuse (giving yourself fully to drug/alcohol). Got it.
I like to borrow and slightly tweak a quote from the great showman, P.T. Barnum:
"There's a sucker born-again every minute."
Rather ironic, your comparison to abusers of alcohol and other drugs. Y'see, if your devotion to consuming alcohol grows to a point that it noticeably interferes with the rest of your life, there are several organizations out there with the purpose of helping you to break your addiction, and that's considered a good thing.
Doubly ironic in that, as a rule, said organizations tend to use religion as a means to help people quit the bottle/needle/pills/whatever, essentially swapping one addiction for another.
ADDENDUM:
(Elphada)
"I'm assuming since you're 'Karate Mom' you are aware of the non-Christian roots of the martial arts?"
Yet another lovely bit of irony, that. I'm sure that, were Karate Mom ever to become aware that the world's oldest organized fighting art (Pankration) was developed by the ancient Greeks (according to the fundies, they practically invented sodomy), she'd probably stroke out right there at her keyboard.
