It just seems to me that it's high time we began setting the record straight. To begin with, there is no such thing as homophobia. A phobia is defined as a fear or anxiety that exceeds normal proportions.
Fine. Then let me give you a nice, big hug. Surely a gay guy giving you a hug shouldn't be a big deal, should it?
Concocting the word was simply a rather sly way of suggesting that it is heterosexuals who are deviant.
Yeah, hating a group on a basis that is not their business at all. Nothing wrong with that...
The other lie that is parroted with some frequency is that those who don't fully support the gay agenda are most likely latent homosexuals, which is supposed to suggest, I assume, that lurking inside every heterosexual man is an interior decorator screaming to get out and do something about those curtains.
No, it means that usually, the people that spew hatred and loathing upon us are usually using a safe target to project their hatred and loathing for themselves for being unable to find happiness fighting their "urges." Therefore, they find it reprehensible that others find happiness NOT fighting said urges. Most straight men could care less about us. Yet people like you can't let their mind idle for 10 seconds without their mind wandering to the sinful activities going on in our bedrooms. Wonder why, buddy?
Odd, isn't it, that you never hear about latent heterosexuals?
Think about what you said here. Just for a second. Why would we suppress our heterosexuality, to join a group that is scorned and reviled by many, and puts you at risk for a rather violent death if you express your sexuality in the wrong way at the wrong place at the wrong time. Makes sense to me!
Even the ancient Greeks, to whom modern-day gays enjoy comparing themselves, never engaged in anything quite as bizarre as same-sex marriages.
No, but the Spartans used homosexuality to great effect in their military, by putting lovers in the same squad. You fight hard if your life is on the line, but you fight like a cornered badger if your lover's life is on the line. Also, we don't "like" to compare ourselves to them, we just point them out whenever people act like homosexuality is a recent phenomena.
