I don't believe God will let this happen, He will not be usurped by man.

Well, then God should do something about it, shouldn't he?
...I'm waiting.
Oh, yeah, and apparently we're building the tower of Babel.
"He will not be usurped by man."
And when he is, you'll either (a) pretend the results were faked by a cabal of Satanically inspired, demon-worshipping, liberal-atheist-scientists, or (b) say "goddidit!" and try and claim all the credit.
Later in the thread Daveyboy has this to say about how God must have created life ,the universe and everything
"Or the human eye that has millions of lenses."
@ Lucretius -hes saying we have millions of lenses? WTF!
I have 2 for each eye because im short sighted, but thats an exception to the rule overall.
Your god has some pretty deep emotional problems. First of all, your god has a compulsive need to have his ass kissed. Then, he punishes all mankind for the trivial indiscretion of eating an apple from the tree of knowledge. Then he decides that mankind is so rotten, he drowns everyone except for a drunk and his family. Then he sacrifices himself to himself, to create a loophole to a rule that he made.
Getting pissed off because man can do something he thought only he could do sounds right.
Man was not meant to fly
The plague was a punishment from god, man is not meant to cure
Man should not be allowed to cut open cadavers, man is not meant to question
After +/- 2,000 years it's getting old.
No usurpation necessary. We made him, after all. It's about time that you realized that your god is a tool created by people for a job. Once he's served his purpose, we put him back on the shelf with the other tools.
So god has to approve of every single chemical reaction, and then he stop some of them? If so, wouldn't chemistry be far more difficult than it is now? Also, why would he allow chemistry that result in children dying from diseases, but he's very concerned about scientists creating life?
"It is the natural duty of the child to succeed (replace, take over the position, etc) the parent."
"Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name..."
Confused?
