I don't see a crime in wanting the inauguration to be representative of the populace he will be leading. There were Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, and a great many other groups represented there. I think this means that what is coming is an era of tolerance and reason, as opposed to the past eight years of intolerance, bigotry, and exclusion.

I think Joseph Lowery's benediction was one of the finest, most eloquent, amusing and thought-provoking speeches I have ever heard. And that's me hearing it as a non-believer. It was a gem. It had a passion that I thought, in a way, Obama's speech didn't demonstrate so boldly.
