[Why doesn't God heal amputees?]

This is one of those horrible atheist smart alec questions that crops up from time to time (as in daily). I don't mean any offense to you, but surely you didn't think this was in any way original do you?

My most logical answer to this is quite simply, if it wasn't part of gods plan for said amputee to be an amputee, they wouldn't be. Thus restoring the severed limb is pointless, since clearly god had a plan that was being carried out by removing a limb and god has a reason they are an amputee. Reward for their suffering and faith will come later.

Kind of simple really.
