Quote# 57140

I have to confess that I am finding it very hard to seperate my feeling of disdain or disappointment for this Presidency from the fact that he is the first black American to be elected.

While I do think it's an absolutely wonderful thing that he is I am having a very hard time with this. I feel badly about it but I have to be honest. It's not a racial thing because if it was a conservative with whom I share moral views I would feel the joy. I am almost ashamed of myself but I firmly believe that Barack is Godless. I guess I'm sadder for my country than I am happy for blacks.

Am I alone in this??

It's amazing how you guys have condemned the man so quickly, when he's only been President for three days!

Or more to the point you are racist and just want to hide behind something else.

Wut - you're not racist because your KKK friend sets the bar too high? That's about the most sense I can make of this.

I am almost ashamed of myself but I firmly believe that Barack is Godless.
I am almost repulsed at your racism but the way you intersperse your ignorant comments with pure gobbledygook makes it difficult to feel any strong emotion. I'm guessing the gist of your argument is, hating Obama because he is black, is just not racist, because ummm.. bright goats jump sideways at red pylons.

In way, yes, you are alone in this. Stupidity and ignorance are exclusive to the person who has them. Consider your first sentence. Now, review the next paragraph.

What sentiment did you actually express? Disdain, disappointment for the Presidency, sadness for the country because it elected a black President, and shame for feeling this way.

You have a long way to climb from your bigotry and racism. Start now, Ricky!

He's black, he's not a religious fundamentalist, and now he's president. I can't take it.

Now you know how we feel when your cuntservative bush cried his way into presidency.

@ Marc - Well, Obama has changed Bush's abortion policies and has announced that he will allow same sex unions all the benefits of married couples. Abortion and homosexuals are the only things they really care about, that's why they're so quick to condemn him. Sad really. The saddest part is that millions of people vote just because of those 2 issues. I'm glad Obama got in. He's a breath of fresh air, in my opinion. The fundies needed this little slap to the face to make them realize that most of us are tired of their bigoted crap.

Am I alone in this??

Alone? No, there are some fringe lunatics like you who post over at RR, CARM, Free Republic, Free Conservatives, Conservapedia and other such cult sites.

But you are all basically dismissed as crackpots and insane.

Is Obama "godless" simply for refusing to discriminate against gays? And Roe v. Wade said the government can't make abortions illegal, so Obama doesn't even have the power to forbid abortions.

You were never "happy for blacks" to begin with, so you must be one sad motherfucker.

Admit you are racist, please. It would spare me of these idiotic things you say about Obama, who has done nothing to you to deserve this.

"he is the first black American to be elected."

Can you be elected to the US Presidency if you're not American? Were there black non-Americans who were elected in the past?

In four days he's closed Gitmo, outlawed torture, expressed approval of freedom of choice, and planned a review of all of the Chimp's policies. Let the RickyD's of the nation whine, moan and pee their pants.

Pardon my shoutiung, but:

HE HAS BEEN PRESIDENT FOR LESS THAN A FUCKING WEEK! In that time he has done more positive things than Dipshit Bush did in eight years.

How about you give him some time before you start a-formin' the lynch mobs?

@ Rallymodeller

But every positive thing that he has done is a reversal of a Bushism. Therefore it is evil.

I think what RickyD is trying to say is that he'd be happy if Condoleezza Rice had become president, just so that the GOP would march proudly on. Instead we've got someone in who seems to actually gives a damn about the people of the country, not just the oil industry.

@Marc and Rallymodeller: They were condemning him and forming lynch mobs the second he became a serious contender in the presidential race. Believe me, they won't stop until he's out of office, which is why he should ignore them and focus on the problems at hand.

Don't worry it's only part of the cognitive dissonance welling up. It'll soon subside.

Possibly God bless, but probably not, Pule.
