If you don’t like what your kids are learning in publicly funded schools paid for by those parents who consistently vote to have creation and ID taught along with evolution, start your own God-free, evolution only private atheist school or homeschool. You’re free to do that any time you wish.
Advertise for it and watch the stampede as people flock to your school.
Educate them on your own dime and stop trying to force your views on us because you think that you can justify dictating your views to others, whether they like it or not.

When did these parents "consistently" vote on this, exactly?
And, votes don't trump the Bill Of Rights.
Ya know, maybe we should teach the so-called "controversy." On one hand, we can teach our children how to be critical thinkers, explain how all of the evidence supports natural selection and then teach them that some people haven't learned critical thinking yet somehow (controversially) see fit to try to trump the efforts of those who have put real effort into understanding the world around them.

Now that you've played that card, I pay more in taxes than the median American household makes, and I support teaching science in science classes and mythology in humanities classes.
Parents don't get to vote on whether to have creation and ID taught along with evolution. Creationism is religion. Teaching it in public schools is unconstitutional. A town can't vote to ignore the Constitution. Parents only get to vote for the school board members. The last time some school board members tried to push creationism, the town got sued, the voters kicked the creationist crowd out, and last I heard, the town was on the hook for $2 million for the plaintiffs' legal expenses.

It's already been done. It's called "public school". You want God, go to church. You’re free to do that any time you wish.
I was taught ID in a public school. Basically it went, "nobody knows how evolution started, some believe that God started the whole process, others believe that it may have been a bacteria on a meteorite, but most believe that it was a chemical reaction in the primordial soup." Any explanation beyond that leaves ID in the dust and goes into creationism.
We want to teach science in science class. Must you hate us for that? Oh, wait, you're just jealous because we can actually teach it schools without violating any kind of law, aren't you?
Or, you could send your kids to a christian school, which already exists, and leave the actual teaching to the public schools

Sorry, but reality dictates what is taught it public schools. That's why creationism is out.

You know what, if people like you keep voting to put religion into my state-funded schools, I might just do that.

You'd be surprised at how many people want a real education.

Shiny mirror, much?
I'm not the one bitching about what is taught in the public schools, you people are. If you want your children to learn only about made up relgious stories and not biology, then take them to a private school or homeschool them.
And most school's don't let parents vote on what is taught there. Facts, or things supported by facts, are what is taught in schools.

IRONY!
Hypocrite.
"parents who consistently vote to have creation and ID taught along with evolution"
YOUR A FRINGE LUNATIC AND THE REST OF CHRISTIANITY IS EMBARRASED BY YOU. "Everyone supports us" is a fucking lie and you know it.
Wait, you guys are educating your kids on MY dime.
At least I care whether your kids learn something or not.
And I don't even have any kids of my own.
I live in the "bible belt" where the quoted post is the common thought in the public schools. Believe it or not, there is a huge population of nonchristian and atheist home schoolers because the public schools condone "faith" in the classroom.
While this isn't the main reason we homeschool, it is one of the reasons.
*sits on a mountain of cash from the irony meter insurance payoffs people like this bring*
This is just stupid, I mean really- you may vote to have your crap taught but the schools aren't teaching it so why should those with the evidence leave the school system when it's working out fine for their kids who are learning evolution- not ID/Creationism.
Infact, it's usually you people who have a problem with kids learning things you find unpleasant. So maybe it's you who should leave.

Hmmm, I'm thinking pot / kettle with this fucker.
... I hate to point this out again, but in a CHRISTIAN school in England, a truly CHRISTIAN country, they never mention intelligent design or the christian creation story, except in religious studies.
Why is it that a truly christian country has more secular viewpoints taught to its children then a secular one?
Even in secularly wide polls most don't want to see creationism taught in schools. I don't believe theirs ever been a state vote. She's probably talking about church petitions'
Fundie churchs would vote yes on a lot of constitutional violations
Gravity is a social construct
The babble is certain truth
Am I the only one who sees something wrong with the above 2 opinions?

It is being forced on you. Whether you like it or not. A 'God' didn't create this universe, this world & all the life on it. The law says so.
Four Words: Kitzmiller versus Dover, bitches.
Enjoy your hoemskuling, fundies. McDonald's Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell et al need all the staff they can get!
So then when do I get to come to your kids' Sunday School to teach evolution, then?
What, it doesn't work that way?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
