I don't know, to a certain extent he has a point. For instance, while we have laws against child pornography, and we even have laws against photoshopping childrens heads onto naked bodies, I don't believe those laws are extended to cartoon children (or highly realistic CGI rendering for that matter). In the internet world, thats a pretty big issue, whether cartoons are equal to the real thing.
