It's quite amazing when you realize that many nonbelievers were once believers and that many nonbelievers read the Bible for various reasons even if they were not raised Christian.

Have I memorised the Bible? No.
Can I research the Bible? Yes.
Is this in some way hard to understand?
I actually do try to read the Bible daily, just to confuse the hell out of fundies.

I bet those unbelievers didn't agree with your batshit interpritation of the bible. Therefore you conclude that they are all wrong and ill informed. Considering you're a raptard, this would make sense.

Many (if not most) Christians have very little knowledge of the Bible. It's quite amazing that when you start pressing them you find their beliefs are based not on knowledge, but on complete ignorance.
FIX'D for truth.

Yeah? Where does the bible say anything about a rapture?
BTW I'm currently studying Daniel, specifically the arguments regarding its place in history.

Most of us know the Bible far better, and in more depth, than you do. Why, heck, we're even familiar with the scholarly analysis that's been devoted to it for the past 300 years. But I wouldn't expect you to be aware of it.

Tres has actually encountered "unbelievers" here (and I hate that word--not believing his belief doesn't make anyone an "unbeliever.") At this point, he's simply lying. The majority of American atheists and Pagans are converts away from Christianity, and we *tried*. I have little medals, certificates, and trophies from Bible "sword-sharpening drills."
But, you know, if he'll lie about us to others, I suppose it's not a far leap for him to lie to himself and tell himself that nobody can read what he did and come up with a different result.

Many unbelievers where believers who accepted the Bible without reading it other than the verses that they always heard. When they did read their Bibles they saw how unbelievible it really was and how cruel and sadistic they God they were blindly following was.
Read your Bible mate, and ask yourself "Do I really want to be a part of that?"

Actually, in my experience it's the believers who don't know the bible as well as the atheists.
