I don't particularly like Hamas but, I'll take a punt and guess that most members of Hamas, living as they do on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, have seen more suffering and pain than Caver and the rest of the RR cultists will ever see in their lifetimes.
Unfortunately, because Hamas are fundies just like RR they see human beings in exactly the same terms as the RR crowd does, as inferior and corrupted slaves of a stern and uncaring God, expendable, without inalienable rights and deserving of punishment.

By the rules of US election law, Bush was elected. Given the types of folks we see in RR, one can imagine how a bit of apathy or being ill-informed on the part of moderate Americans can have that kind of result.

Hamas was democratically elected. And to make sure they stayed that way, Hamas threw their political opponents off buildings or machine-gunned them in the Gaza strip.

Hamas uses the same mindset that we see displayed when a member of RR declares the US should execute Homosexuals. They believe whatever they do is right and everyone else's rights and lives are expendable.
