[comparing Prop. 8 to a ban on interracial marriage]
Let's see. It's a sin to be homosexual. It's not a sin to be black. What do you think?

..Except that you fundies claimed that the level of keratin in one's skin was due to being a descendant of Ham, who was cursed by God because of the actions of the actions of his father, and thus all of his progeny condemned somehow.
It depends on who you ask. Wasn't there something in the book of Mormon about some tribe turning black on account of how sinful they were? So which of you has the right of it about what's a sin and whats not? Oh wait, neither of you do. Both of your religions are just uninspired bullshit myths made up to control the gullible masses.
A sin is an offense against a deity.
Since there's not the least evidence a deity exists, let alone that a particular one influenced the holy books of some bronze age desert nomad tribes nothing is a sin.
Some things are wrong (obviously) but they're not 'sins'.

Let's see. It's a sin to be black. It's not a sin to be female. What do you think?"
Look at what I found 100 years ago.
"It's not a sin to be black."
You people are so incredibly generous.
Isn't it funny how they don't realize that they are really praying to themselves, believing to be God themselves? They define what's sin and what isn't. That is for God alone.
I am God.
Here's my little sin-list:
It's a sin to hold down your hand on a hot plate. The punishment is burns on your skin which get even meaner the longer you commit that sin.
It's a sin to jump into the paths of automobiles. The punishment can be death, broken bones, angry honking and the f-word screamed at you really fucking loud.
It's a sin to hurt people physically or emotionally if it can be prevented. Punishment is really colorful here, but for those who are not completely deaf in the mind, there would be the feeling of guilt. That's the best way. If you're deaf, though, punishment can even be death.
It's a sin not to be perfect. Punishment varies and is reduced the more perfect you are.
"It's not a sin to be black. "
Segregationists sure thought so.
IF they were wrong, how do you know you aren't?
And don't' quote the Bible. Segregationists already did that as well to justify racism.
Let's see. Black skin, wide nose and thick lips are the mark of Caine mentioned in the bible. At least that's what christians said 50 years ago.
I also think bigotry authorised by an imaginary man now is just as bigoted as bigotry authorised by an imaginary man 50 years ago.
Is the glass half full or half empty? At least this guy has accepted that the horrifying and evil enslavement of blacks that was committed by Christians was very wrong. He probably takes it for granted that women are allowed to speak in public without being beaten, he doesn't even mention it. In a century, even dorks like this will admit there is something wrong with the idea that God hates something that He created, simply for existing.
No, no, see to them it's okay to be black, just as long as you're not all, y'know, uppity about it. It's like how they tolerate women as long as they're not all angry and loudmouthed and opinionated, holding their nose in the air like some kind of bitch.
"Let's see. It's a sin to be homosexual. It's not a sin to be black. What do you think?"
I think that you are quite clearly a product of the moral zeitgeists of the late-20th and early-21st centuries. 60 years ago you would have been just as much against interracial marriage as you are against gay marriage now. 60 years from now you'd probably accept gay marriage as commonplace and be "morally opposed" to... oh, let's say, inter-Martian marriage.
What is it with these guys and thier abhorence at learning anything about history? Perhaps they are scared that they might see something about how thier religion and the bible itself has changed over the years and lose thier faith?
You "people" used the same arguments against womens sufferage and interracial marraige that you are useing against gays now. Please just look it up, please? Did you know this thing called the internet that you only use to post whiny rants on message boards can also be used to research all kinds of historical information?
It is really very easy, go on try it...
@Jesus Klingon
Wrong. It is in fact a sin to be homosexual. The problem is that the Bible also says that it's a sin to eat lobster and wear cotton polyblend. In the Bible, sin =/= ethically wrong, which is why these people fail miserably at life.
"It's not a sin to be black"
If someone had asked you if it was a sin to be black, 60 years ago would your answer be the same?
Fail!!! It is not a sin to be homosexual or black, douche bag, it is shit headed fundies like you that cause these problems! you make people angry they attack you blame the government you drop bombs! you kill urselfs to go to Jesus same bullshit since religion started. RELIGION IS GOING TO DESTROY OUR EARTH!
Both are biological and can't be 'altered'. Anyway, one day the intolerant did say it was the same. You can support any ass-backwards view using the Babble.
No problem with either, regardless of what your backwards book of lies says.
Please read Leviticus 25 again. Also that part of Exodus which mentions marrying slaves (I forgot the exact verses).
Plus, where in the Bible is written that being homosexual is a sin? The very word "homosexual" didn't exist before 1869, and I doubt a bunch of hebrew ignorant hacks would have known about it so much time ago.
People are born gay as sure as thy're born black or left-handed. But, religious fundies thought black was evil (and many still do), and many tried, unsuccessfully, to "cure" left-handedness by teaching kids to wright right-handed.
In a secular nation, you cannot use a religious argument to draft laws. Since the concept of sin is a religious one, it has no bearing on whether homosexuals should be able to legally marry.
Try again with a logical argument this time.
It's a sin to wear polyblends.
It's a sin to work on the Sabbath.
It's a sin to eat much food.
It's a sin to gloat at other people's misery.
It's a sin to own too much.
It's not a sin to get your dad drunk and "date-rape" him.
What do you think?
"It's not a sin to be black."
- Look up the curse of Ham, which certain strands of Christianity has pushed, and some still push, then get back to me.
"Let's see. It's a sin to be homosexual. It's not a sin to be black."
Let's see. It's not a sin to be a Christian. As far as the Wahhabi clerics & their enforcers, the Mutawwa are concerned, practicing any religion other than Wahhabi Islam in Saudi Arabia is a grievous sin. What do you think, danny-boy? I know what this man thinks:

So Prop. 8 was overturned in your country? Deal with it. As per the new Stonewall bus advert slogan (in the UK; homosexuality was legalised here in 1967): 'Some people are Gay. Get over it ', Homosexuality is legal in all civilised democratic countries based on Rule of Law. I emphasis the last word: Law . Romans 13:1-5 orders you to obey the law(s) of the land. One such country where not only homosexuality, but same-sex marriage is legal, is Holland:
