[Could God have created life on another planet?]

Nope. No life anywhere except here on Earth. I believe that because the Bible doesn't give me any reason to believe in any other type of physical beings existing in our universe. As far as I'm concerned there's only God, us (people and animals aka all life on earth), God's Holy Angels and the beings of God's Heavenly Realm, and lastly demons/angels who defected with satan who're scattered all over the place from Hell to Earth (some can show themselves in Heaven ((Job 1:6-7))). But green lizard men with energy swords? Nah. I wouldn't mind getting to Heaven and God saying something along the lines of "Oh Timothy, by the way you were wrong. All that extraterrestrial jazz wasn't important or beneficial to getting you right with me. There are actually lizard men with energy swords dying to meet you."

Unless it specifically says that something doesn't exist or happen, there's no reason to interpret the Bible in such a way as to definitely exclude anything, including the existence of life on other planets/etc. As someone mentioned above me, it's arrogant to say we're the only life in the entire universe without a shred of evidence. We're animals, and we're not some special be all end all of biology in the universe. Get over it.

(Speaking of, what's the difference between realizing you're insignificant in the vastness of space and time because of 'chance' and "realizing" you're insignificant in the vastness of time and space because your god and your religious leaders continuously tell you you're not good enough and nothing you can do will ever make you good enough for god?)

The degree of arrogance in these statements, whether intentional or not, is staggering. They may not believe that the sun revolves around the earth, but they certainly believe the universe does. But wait, that's not quite egocentric enough, is it? No, not only does the entire universe have to revolve around earth, but the tiny sliver of time that they occupy on the face of the planet has to welcome the ultimate destruction of the universe. This is one step away from solipsism people - the next step is to say "I am the only human with consciousness". Seriously, how low does your self esteem have to be that you need to convince yourself that you are not only the only species that matters, but that your particular generation will usher in the apocalypse, to give yourself a sense of self worth?

Well, your arrogance set aside, I feel very confident that we will find proof of extraterrestrial life (microbial or otherwise) within our lifetimes. Sure, we may not find alien civilizations within this timeframe, but in all probability they are out there.

Consider the facts; "Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space."

Now considering all that space, all those galaxies, all those stars and all those planets, how small does our (humanity's) insignificant attempts at civilization seem now? And for someone to say without doubt that life exists solely on Earth is not just an impressive display of arrogance, it is also horrible evidence for said persons ignorance.

It is far more likely that the universe is teeming with life - intelligent and otherwise, and there are reasons for me assuming this. First, life is nothing more complex than chemistry. Chemistry does not require intelligent intervention in order to function, it just needs energy - and energy is quite abundant in the universe. Furthermore, chemists today are saying that life could very well be inevitable if given enough time. And that's really all there is to it; time and chemistry.

Oh, and Vogon Prosteznic Yeltz (yes, can't remember how to spell that) would like to read you some poetry.

That is true: There are no other planets with intelligent life. Earth is the focus point of the cosmic evolution. I have an agenda, and I don't waste time.

Okay, so let me get this straight, nobody here seems to have a problem believing in aliens in an infinite universe/multiverse, yet 'God' (not necessarily fitting the description of a Christian god, but the concept of a God) is impossible.

Geez, how closed minded, we have fundies not believing there could be aliens out there, on all those planets, or where ever else they could be, and atheists (Remember A-theists, not believing in God(s) of any form) not believing there could be such a thing as God or gods in all that space time, and even out of it.

Seriously, anything is possible, it's INFINITE, even invisible pink unicorns that we scientifically proved to be invisible because we can't see them, or FSM with his beer volcano and strippers.

Technically, in the true word of INFINITE, it's all possible.
