Is most modern science a lie?
How can we possible be sure about the lies they tell us in science class. Has anyone actually seen an electron? No, so how do we know it exists? Same goes for the structure of the atom. Microscopes can't see that far down and never will because atoms probably don't exist. And don't confuse technology with science. Technology is what gives us computers and TVs that we use to spread the word of the Lord. Science is what evil scientists do.

Science and technology are kinda like peanut butter and jelly, they go together. Technology is a result of science, and technology advances science.
This is either a poe, or a very very stupid person
If this isn't a Poe, I've lost all faith in humanity.
This reminds me of HS Biology, when my teacher stood up and informed the class that she was obligated to teach us the lies of evolution by state law, and reassured us that she truly believed in Jesus Christ, our lord.
If I recall, she got a standing ovation from my classmates.
i think the following scientists would like a word:
Democritus
John Dalton
CTR Wilson
Bernoiuli
joule
Clausius and maxwell
niels bohr
and einstein, all of which came up with theories based around atoms
you say that all scientists do is evil, ok then how about these bad boys:
The scientific method
optics
heliocentrism
astronomy
planetry motion
logarithums (essential for technoogy and engineering)
Blood circulation
the mercury barometer
microrganisms
the laws of motion
the mercury thermometer
modern chemistry
the electric battery
atomic theroy
cell theory
anesthesia
absolute zero
genetics
evolution
the periodic table
x rays
radioactivity
quantum theory
continental drift
x ray diffraction
the DNA double helix
and thats just for starters
all of these have had massive implications for mankind , so you go back to your fanatsy trip, and we'll enjoy reality and all it brings
Poe perhaps, but transistors are based on quantum mechanics, and believe me, understanding quantum mechanics is REALLY difficult. But it works...
I've never seen my brain, so I guess I don't have one.

i'm not a troll I'm a true christian so people stop saying I'm a troll. A troll is an evil godless creature

To andrew: those are just dots that scientists probably drew themselves, they don't prove atoms at all

To John: gravity is a lie
*ahem* ELECTRON. MICROSCOPE. That is all.
Ooh, and TECHNOLOGY is derived directly *from* science, so you fucking FAIL.
EDIT: BWAHAHAAHAH! THe Best Answer is a fucking ASCII-art FACEPALM! Classic!
"Science is what evil scientists do."
I'm pretty sure good scientists do science too. And annoying ones and ugly ones and fat ones and skinny ones and ones with glasses and a wig and perhaps a glass eye and maybe halitosis. The point is, the personal attributes of the person doing the science have no bearing whatsoever on the results if they follow the scientific method and nothing in that method can possibly be evil.
You see, unlike religious apologists scientists have to be honest because if they're not they'll be very quickly found out by, you guessed it, other scientists. Frauds and hoaxes have been perpetrated by an unscrupulous few and *ALL* of them have been exposed by other scientists. Cheats never prosper (well, some religious ones do e.g. TV evangelists) and lying in the defence of religion is morally indefensible.
Has anyone actually seen an electron? No, so how do we know it exists?
We know that electricity exists, that it comes in particles that can be counted and seen when they strike a fluorescent screen, that the particles can travel through a vacuum and be electrically accelerated and moved by magnetic fields. That knowledge was used to develop the TV you use to spread the word of the Lord.
"We can't see oxigen, so it doesn't exist. We can't see hydrogen so it doesn't exist. We can see and feel water, but H20 doesn't exist, it's thing evil scientists made to take us away from God. Water is only water."
Why these people can't understand the difference between the word and its meaning? Between something that you use to describe real thing in the world, without being forced to give a detailed explanation about that real thing every time you use the fucking word, and the real thing? I mean: come on. When I use the world apple, you don't say: it's a fruit, can be yellow, green and red, used to make an apple pie etc... It's the same with electrons, only on the higher level of imagination. Are all fundies five years old?
Holy fucking shit. Shoot me the fuck right now. It does not get any dumber than this. How in the fuck...no, just...no. Please, oh fucking please, please be a Poe.
Have you ever been to China? No? Then how do know it's there if you've never observed it... unless, perhaps, there's evidence of China's existence that you can observe. Hmm... I wonder if scientists do something similar... See how stupid your argument is?
I almost posted something like this once. I wanted to vent some steam and I figured I'd be a Poe for a day. I didn't do it though.
When I was writing it, I tried to write something so stupid, nobody would ever actually believe it. But, of course, they do. I guess that's the point of Poe's Law.
How can we possible be sure about the lies they tell us in science class.
Because they tell you how to verify them for yourself, knucklehead! That's the whole fucking point of science!
The evil scientists that got us from a life expectancy of 30 during the Dark Ages (which had no evil scientists) to a life expectancy of 83 after 300 years of enlightenment and education? Those evil scientists?
Have fun dying of measles or the mumps at the ripe old age of 22.
Technology is the product of science, stupid.
mrheadhappyday,
I have a shocking revelation for you:
Evil scientists (yes, the kind who collect corpses, to bring them back to an undead life with electric shocks, while laughing maniacially); these 'evil scientists' only exist in bad movies and even worse pulp novels.
Evil scientists are fictional. Got it? FICTIONAL. The work of real scientists is completely different.
But as you assumedly believe in a book full of fairy-tales from the bronze-age, you might have problems in distinguishing reality and fiction.
Is most modern religion a lie?
How can we possible be sure about the lies they tell us in church. Has anyone actually seen God? No, so how do we know he exists? Same goes for the soul. Nobody has developed a test for one and they never will because souls probably don't exist. And don't confuse morality with religion. Morality is what gives us civilizations and communities like the scientific community. Religion is what evil churches use.
When an argument still works with the words swapped out, it's a crummy argument.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
