The whole world will attempt to defeat JESUS when he returns and be totally destroyed. IT IS WRITTEN IN THE WORD OF GOD AND IT WILL HAPPEN. THE WORLD CAN DO AND SAY ISRAEL WILL BE DESTROYED, BUT IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

The other thing is that Israel did not exist from all time. There was an uncomfortable/inconvenient period of about 2000 years when it was on no map. In fact, it's only back in existence for 60 years, and could easily be wiped out again if her policies do not change.

So in a couple of billion years, when the sun has used up all its fuel and expanded into a red giant, burning up the inner planets into extra crispy bits, Israel is going to be left untouched and will somehow remain, floating about, serene and unharmed ?
(Although probably with the decendents of the modern cockroach arguing and feuding over which bit is theirs)
Can't say I disagree with the first part, it's very difficult, if not impossible to completely destroy a nation these days, nor do I want it to happen. Israel is a nation of well educated and productive citizens who can contribute to the global economy.
But god has nothing to do with it. It's just logic. Then again, when have "logic" and "fundie" ever coexisted?

Israel has only existed since 1948 (when it gained it's independence from the British Mandate of Palestine), and obviously it won't be destroyed because it has the largest armed forces in the Middle East (& a rumoured 200 nuclear devices).

So, if I'm reading this right, the whole world will be totally destroyed when Jesus comes back, but somehow, in spite of the destruction of the whole world, Israel will be spared? H[w's that supposed to work?
Mudak: Actually, the very close of "Kingdom Come" in LaHaye's Left Behind series depicts just this sort of thing. God effaces the entire world, leaving a drifting Jerusalem, then recreates it in a moment, in its alleged original, Edenic form. And with the new Jerusalem descending upon it--the one the size of the Roman Empire.
Curious bit is that the thing that was initially supposed to sanctify Jerusalem when David founded it--that it was on Mt. Moriah, where Abraham tried to sacrifice Isaac and was stopped by Tzadqiel--my be spurious. Moriah's location was not well defined, and David may have declared his desired capital site as Moriah just to avoid having to set his capital at the less-than-defensible point of Hebron (i.e. where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had been buried).

It's a pity though, that they seem to think that bullying your neighbors and denying others basic civic rights because they don't belong to your bloodline is a good way to survive.
In my opinion there might well come a day that they (the zionists) will reap what they are sowing, and I'm afraid it might just make the holocaust look like a sunday picnic :(

Mutually Assured Destruction only worked because both sides in the Cold War had the will to live.
In this case we two sides with a death wish and a lust for unproportional retaliation, I don't think real fanatics will let themselves be deterred by Israel's nuclear capabilities.
