The lib/dem's are feeling totally in control now, after Bush-hating for 8 long years.
Hatred is bad for ones soul. It eats you up from the inside out and now they're spewing forth the evil venom that's been stored up.
Could you even imagine if an art teacher would've asked their class to draw a picture of President Bush during his first month in office? OMGosh!!! The MSM would have been all over it in a second. The ACLU would've been called in lickity-split. Congress would have called for impeachment proceedings immediately.

Uhm, no. If an art teacher had the kids drawing Bush at the beginning of his first term I would call that exactly what I call the teacher having them draw Obama: combining drawing and current events. That's it. No hidden agenda, just trying to get the kids to pay attention to the world (how else can they learn to make good art?).
IMPEACHMENT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY
For someone who belongs to a group that claims to be ultra-American, you sure are ignorant of the way our government works.
Shrubby wasn't able to ruin the country that quickly.
Which is kind of surprising.
Nevertheless, speaking as an evil liberal, I would want children to get a proper education which, horror of horrors, includes learning who the president is.
But I'm guessing all you fundie home schoolers wouldn't realize that.
Oh puhleese.....Even if anyone HAD complained about kids being asked to draw Bush, you'd have been shouting them down, accusing them of being treasonous and unpatriotic. The shoe doesn't feel so good to you people when it's on the other foot, does it?
Congress would have called for impeachment proceedings immediately.
Dude, Congress refused to call for impeachment hearings after Bush lied his way (willingly!) into an illegal occupation (with thousands of dead U.S. soldiers and over a million dead Iraqis), instituted torture and the elimination of basic human rights...hell, one has to wonder what it would take to get the Dems to demand any kind of accountability for mass-murdering war criminals.
...
It is an art class...
They drew a picture.
STFU.
I want to say that I started hating George W. Bush around about the middle of September, 1988. For a quick history lesson, the then-sitting Vice President George H. W. Bush gave a speech to the American Foreign Legion on September 7, 1988, in his campaign for president.
In that speech, he spoke of how that date was the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Obviously, since he got the date so incredibly wrong, the media jumped on him.
A few days later, George W. Bush defended his father by asking, "Who cares if it was September 9 or December 9?"
(To which I respond, anyone who lived through it on December 7, 1941, when the Mexicans invaded Pearl Harbor...)

Like you don't hate Obama. You guys have done nothing but bitch about him even before he was elected, and have gone into hyperdrive since he has been elected. So STFU and DIAF.

This from someone at fucking RR. Those people couldn't function without hatred.

"Hatred is bad for ones soul. It eats you up from the inside out and now they're spewing forth the evil venom that's been stored up. "
Yeah there's a lot of that coming out of the republic party since Obama won.
Come to think about it, there was a lot of it before he won too.
Wrong. It would not bother me at all. It is an art class, you know. Your evil venom is showing! Suggestion: Learn something about our system. Start with 3 words: Judicial, Executive, Legislative. Now scoot.
The fundies are feeling totally out of control now, after Bush-worshipping for 8 long years.

Pot, may I introduce you to kettle?
If hatred is so bad for the soul, what are you fuckers doing now?!?
And I guarantee that millions of kids were drawing GWB a month into his first term, two weeks before President's day.
Even my fundie mom though Bush sucked for most of his second term (though she would have preferred McCain to Obama; see the "fundy" part).
Yeah, they should be like fundamentalists and love all the people they hate. I'm not sure how that works myself, but they seem to be convinced that it does.
Oh, and no one says "lickety-split" anymore.

Please take your own advice, sweetheart. It always saddens me when you don't.
"Could you even imagine if an art teacher would've asked their class to draw a picture of President Bush during his first month in office?"
Yes. Some would draw him well; others, poorly. Just as happened with Obama.
Confused?
