A government that is influenced by the bible is a good thing, not bad. Our founding father's who wrote the Declaration of Independence was bible believing men. It's true that there was 1 or 2 that wasn't but that's about it........Adams would be one that wasn't a Christian, I can't remember the rest.
A land who's foundation is God will never fail.....Which is why America will fail, it's turned away from God......Don't feel bad though, if America didn't fail the Revolations could never happen.

I've been checking out FSTDT for a couple days now and I am amazed that there are people out there like this. I just can't wrap my tiny little brain around the fact that such ignorant arschlocher exist in the 21st century. BTW - What does POE mean? At first, I thought "piece of excrement" but it doesn't make sense in the context that I've seen POE.
@JonnyTruant: Yes. Yes they can. In fact, it seems not only common but directly proportional. All other things being equal, the more fail in grammar, the more fail in content.
@specops17: "Poe" refers to Poe's Law: "There is no troll, sarcasm, or mockery so outrageous that someone will not think it is a genuine fundamentalist, often because they genuinely have seen the exact same thing said in earnest." Calling something a Poe means that the speaker suspects that it's a troll post or parody that has been mistaken for a real fundie.

It refers to Poe's Law, which states: "Without a sarcastic smiley or other obvious indication of sarcasm, there is no parody of religious fundamentalism that won't be mistaken by someone for the genuine article."
Thus, when someone on this site refers to an Original Post as "Poe", s/he's saying that s/he thinks the poster isn't actually a fundie.

Right, thats why Rome fell after Christianity became its official religion. Germany had their holy German emperor Kaiser set up a Christian monarchy in Germany during World war 1, well, they got their asses kicked. Musolini set up a Christian state, he wound up getting hung off of a street sign.
But hey, some "Christian" countries have survive quite a long time. Some "muslim" based societies have lasted a long time. Some secular societies have lasted a long time.

Which is rather paradoxical, because the moment a Fundie can be identified as a Poe, it stops being a Poe, I should think anyways...

Try Jefferson, Madison, Payne, Franklin, Allen, and Washington. None of them Christian. And that's just off the top of my head.
