hey, I like that one, can I quote it and hand it out to everyone here?
"- Human Freedom
Are you serious? You guys are brought kicking and screaming into granting ANY manner of freedom. To claim this as your institution is laughable at best."
only laughable if you're talking about churches, go visit you local Jehova's Whitnesses and try to tell me that... in fact, do some history research on them too, they are probably to only Christian group that has actually played a positive role on society as both a part and a whole... why? because they do exactly what I quoted there at first.
"- Marriage
Which is why you teach kids that if the get married or knocked up, they should get hitched so it's legitimate. Which in turn leads to an appalling divorce rate. "
actually, we teach them not to have sex when they're young, because they are at a stage in their life when their hormones play the greatest role in that part of their lives, and that they should ignore it until they have come of age. coming of age differs from person to person, generally it is around 20 years of age, but some take less time and some never grow up.
"- The Family
As defined by you. Many homosexual parents are already raising healthy, happy, well adjusted children. but of course, the ones that count in our favor don't count... "
I honestly cannot say much for you here, the family that has really come under attack is not the one most would assume, it is the thought of families spending most of their time together, fathers being close to their sons, mothers being close to their daughters, visa versa, and none within a family being afraid to confide in one another, that has all but disappeared.
"- Sanctity of Life
Unless you're a sinner. Or gay. Or a Muslim. Or any other justification you can cook up to wish death and damnation on someone. Matter of fact, the only time you guys DO seem to get up in arms about this is in cases of abortion, or if someone's pulling the plug on a loved one. "
the sanctity of life refers to life in general, and that was abandoned even in biblical times... in other words: it started early. it is the disregard for others lives, as well as your own, the only difference between then and today, is it has been steadily increasing.
"- The Nation
Just...not anything the Founding Fathers ACTUALLY stood for. "
ok... that actually hasn't happened yet, God has reserved that for himself, he will smite the nations of the earth, and that is not to say the people in them, just the idea of there being separate nations. all will be unified under one banner, so to speak... not like it will happen all at once either, there is supposed to be 1000 years of teaching that will occur between it's start and end.
Jehovah never said he liked war, in fact he condemned his people for participating in it, on numerous occasions. the only times he engaged in war (in which case, every victory was swift) was to uphold his promise to his chosen people. the instant he could get himself out of wars, he was gone like a bat out of hell.
many times his nation turned away from hi and many times he both punished them, and accepted them back... heck, very few times did he need to punish them, they ended up punishing themselves and coming crawling back, like a loving husband (as he referred himself to) he took them back every time(referring Israel to being the likeness of a frequently whoring wife). of course, he only took them back because the were actually sorry, and in a couple cases he didn't because they weren't sorry... another instance is still transpiring today.
on those notes, there are many instances when the bible mentioning that Jehovah had not confined himself to Israel, and that he continually and relentlessly searched the whole earth for anyone that was willing to follow him, something he does to this day.
in regards to Adam and Eve, there is a rather lengthy publication of that which I will now reference you to:
